She appears to be wearing the exact same shirt that was found with her remains in the press handout photo. The specific information around her disappearance circumstances leads me to think she was reported missing around the same time she was last seen and not months/years/decades later, but there's no digital footprint at all (so it wasn't properly publicized in modern times).

Is it OK to say they completely dropped the ball?
