i would like for the prosecution to simply put out everything they have, including naming the individuals that were reportedly provided the opportunity to join in at any of JE's properties. But, i've been trying to prepare myself for the redactions, some blacked out and maybe some placeholders like "individual 1" "client 2" and such stuff. MOO.

IDK…I am seeing on Twitter that the judge has barred reporters and spectators from the courtroom. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

I've been following the Elizabeth Holmes/Theranos trial which I believe is also federal, and that kind of prohibition of live-recording seems to be standard for federal trials.

That said, there are reporters attending the Theranos trial and live-tweeting updates. Hopefully that will be permitted here, and if not, I would expect reporters to attend and then tweet/report on breaks and at end of day.

The question is which reporters, who should we watch? Hopefully someone will mention names soon.

A jury has been selected. The government expects its opening statement to be around 25 minutes. Ghislaine Maxwell's lawyer Bobbi Sternheim hopes to keep matters under an hour.

Post-jury selection drama: One juror expressed a financial hardship, after being selected for jury duty. (Trial may stretch on well after the holidays.) The other had a spouse surprise the juror with a vacation interfering with the trial.

The judge will try contacting the first juror's employer. As to the second, a spouse surprised the juror with a vacation between Dec. 24 through 28. The trial is expected to be sitting "two of those days," the judge notes.

We thought a jury had been selected in the Ghislaine Maxwell trial but now potential complications involving two of the jurors could lead to them being swapped out for two jurors left in the jury pool. It appears unlikely that we’ll hear opening statements before lunch.
