Judge Nathan says she must require the jurors to come in **every day** until they reach a verdict because of the "highly contagious Omicron variant." "I must require deliberations every day forward until they reach a verdict."
The judge says that this is necessary to avoid a mistrial in the event of an outbreak.

So, what does this mean? We have one juror that's holding out for innocent or guilty?
Or, are we diligently going through every charge to come up with a reasonable charge of guilt and adding up the years?
This will be fascinating to hear when all is said and done.
IMO, she is guilty.
But, this appears to be a strong, smart jury and I will accept their verdict.

I can't speak for the jury of course but as for me, there's no struggle whatsoever.
These were adults, sexually preying on and sexually abusing underage kids.
Classic, twisted, repulsive human monsters.
Kids by the way, who, in my opinion, had no idea what in the world was really going on (that they were being used like objects by perverts) or utterly, incredibly evil it is for adults to use kids this way.
To me, it's not murky in the least. I can only hope the jury sees it clearly.

So no verdict, but if the jury is progressing, less chance of a mistrial.At least another day then. Wasn't it Margaret Thatcher who said she didn't mind waiting, as long as she got her own way in the end? It's going to be hot here, and I'm setting myself the task of clearing off the piles of paperwork that have accumulated on my desk, imagining celebrating a guilty verdict with a clear desk! (I'll still be having a better day than Ms Maxwell, by a long shot) Here we are, waiting, as we must.

We have coverage of this trial every day by MSM in Australia. Even nightly reports on TV news, I have seen a few.
Just a BTW, don't you just love how the accused bring notebooks into the court, and make tons of notes? GM and a "green file" - and remember Henri van Breda? I don't know what they think they are achieving, but I suppose it at least stops them biting their nails down to the quick.

I don't see a clear connect the dots between Jane and Maxwell. Maxwell was not involved with recruiting the 14 year old girlfriend of
Giuffre boyfriend's 17 year old friend. Maxwell did not bring the teen to Epstein. Maxwell did not introduce the teen to sex with Epstein. Finally, I have not seen any testimony that Maxwell made decisions about who Epstein invited on his plane.
Maxwell is blamed for the actions of the recruiter, the boyfriend and Epstein. On that basis, I think the jury could find the facts murky regarding convicting Maxwell. It has been argued that Maxwell was aware of what was going on, but that relies on the presumption that Maxwell "consciously avoided" knowledge rather than evidence.
I have seen it in media in the USA, as well.
Not a believer in the cover-up conspiracy. MOO.
So many grievous , weighty, important things in the forefront.
She is not front page. Just another paedophile or assistant paedophile. Alledgedly.
Normal, in a sad way, disgusting things in our midst.
Many of us have been hardened to it.
In the news everyday.
I fear I am one of them. Information overload.
