I think Adam Klasfeld left court early
It seems Mr. Klasfeld snuck out after jury asked to see pilot Rodgers' testimony, thinking (correctly) no verdict today....moo:p

The jury was goodnighted at 5:08pm. On a 4th note today, the jury asked, re: count 4 (which pertains solely to accuser Jane), if they could convict her if they believed that the defendant only aided in the transportation of Jane’s return from New Mexico, but not TO NM.

After a back and forth btw the parties on how to respond to the jurors, judge Nathan sided with the government and will refer the jurors back to the instructions. Maxwell seemed frustrated with her decision.

Hate to say this, but this is starting to smell like a mistrial. Hope I’m wrong.

Sorry @sds71 …just saw you posted this too! Guess there’s no high-fiving from the defense today

It’s currently 22:40 here in the UK I was hoping for some positive news before bedtime but I agree with you here I think it’s going to collapse.

This is my first time following a trial on WS so I’m on the edge of my seat here. It’s frustrating.

The jury is headed home after the third full day of deliberations. Judge Nathan told jurors “no pressure,” but to plan to deliberate for an extra hour every day until they reach a verdict. Maxwell and her lawyers seemed none too pleased with this directive, shaning their heads.

(She meant “shaking their heads”)

I am on pins and needles and I don't even know these people.
Having said that, no doubt Ms Maxwell, her family and her attorneys are feeling that and more. Despite their high -fives and bravado. Oh, to be able to read the tea leaves!
MOO.

Let’s all remember how unsure a lot of us were in the Daunte Wright verdict, expecting Powers’ acquittal, and the next day? BAM.

Oh rats, no guilty verdict yet. It's dragging on, isn't it? It does sound like the jury is being diligent, which is great, as long as they can reach a decision at the end of it.

The jury thinks she's guilty, they just want to get it right. That's fine by me.

Judge tells jury deliberating Ghislaine Maxwell’s fate to prepare to stay late until verdict is reached

upload_2021-12-27_20-21-24.png In this courtroom sketch, Ghislaine Maxwell, left, wears a court-ordered N95 face mask while her defense team, right, confers during the trial on Monday, December 27, in New York.

A Manhattan jury deliberating the fate of Ghislaine Maxwell ended its third full day of deliberations Monday without reaching a verdict — as a judge warned jurors they could start working overtime.

Over objections from Maxwell’s defense team, Manhattan Federal Court Judge Alison Nathan told the panelists to prepare to stay an extra hour each day starting Tuesday.

“I would like you to make yourselves available until at least 6 p.m.,” she said. “I don’t mean to pressure you in any way.”

Maxwell and her lawyer Bobbi Sternheim shook their heads as Nathan said she would tell jurors to prepare to start staying later. The defense team argued the warning improperly implied the jury should hurry up.

Federal courts will be closed Thursday and Friday, New Year’s Eve. If jurors don’t reach a verdict by Wednesday, deliberations will resume in the new year.

However this plays out, I must say , IMO, the jury has done due diligence. Not a rush to judgement. Diligently reviewing all the evidence. Can we ask for more than this?
MOO.

About to hit the sack here, hoping to wake up to you know what verdict. May the jury have clarity.

As Ghislaine Maxwell’s family is escorted into the courthouse, an accuser waits in the cold

“We have to wait and wait to get in the back row of an overflow courtroom — and Maxwell’s sister and brothers are ushered into the courtroom every day like royalty,” Stein said. “It’s hard to understand why the family of an accused sex abuser gets a front-row seat when the victims can’t even get into the courtroom.”

She worries that jurors will not understand why the women continued to associate with Epstein and Maxwell after they were allegedly assaulted. “It’s difficult because these jurors are just having to judge this case solely on the witnesses that were presented and the testimony they have. They’ve seen four women with very similar but different stories. It does sound hard to believe. Who would believe it? That’s why a lot of us didn’t say anything — because who would believe it? It wasn’t that simple to just get away.’’

In the eyes of Stein and Ransome, the New York trial is yet another bitter example of how Epstein’s and Maxwell’s accusers remain invisible, shuffled aside, and ignored, much like they were two decades ago when prosecutors in South Florida gave Epstein a secret plea deal without telling he was accused of abusing. Epstein, in his 50s at the time, was accused in 2005-2007 of sexually abusing dozens of middle and high school girls at his Palm Beach mansion

@KlasfeldReports

Some context:

Their last request for clarification was about the fourth of six charges, and they previously sought guidance about Carolyn, who's at the heart of the last two counts.

We don't know they're approaching the verdict sheet chronologically, but if they are...

New on the docket:

Ghislaine Maxwell's lawyers note juror confusion about the elements of the fourth count, which accuses her of transporting "Jane" from Florida to NYC for illegal sex acts with Epstein. Jurors asked about... New Mexico.

They want Judge Nathan to correct them.
