For you, Chelly :
this is the ONLY count Maxwell was found not guilty on: "COUNT TWO: Enticement of an Individual Under the Age of 17 (Jane only) to Travel with Intent to Engage in Illegal Sexual Activity."
Thanks @shotgun09 . Re: Count Two. It seemed the jury really struggled with this to the point of requesting judge to define "enticement. As a resident of New Mexico, knowing the location of JE's Zorro ranch, I've was interested in Jane's testimony.

So up to 65 years if served consecutively, but most likely any sentence will be served concurrent. How many think she'll get the max sentence of 40 years?
I'm doing the Happy Dance. So I will settle for half and say if she gets a solid 20, OK. But I would love to see a judge say "40" just for the satisfaction

Will her attorneys and their assistants do internet tasks on her behalf. Does she still have wealth?
IIRC she transferred much of her assets to Borgerson. So where is he? Who knows how much she has hidden elsewhere. I heard her defense cost 5 mil.

I know its just a sketch, but why is she not cuffed? She's guilty and in custody, verdict in. Just 1 Marshall?

She is being escorted out by 4 guys who all could be LE. Jail clothes and cuffs go on as usual for her trip back to jail.

Re: that manual of rigid and crazy rules she prepared for the staff, it now gives me great pleasure that she will now have to follow a bunch of rigid rules.
Oooooo great thought!

I mentioned earlier in the thread if there might be someone out there who is afraid she may name names. I wondered about that with JE too.
. Know what you mean. I think it is unlikely The Lady of the House will meet her demise in prison like Jeff. She has leverage for a sentence reduction if she names those names.

Wrapping this up for the night.
Ms. Maxwell is back in her familiar cell.
No turtle necks, wool pants, clipboards, notebooks, sketch pads, hugs and high fives with her attorneys.
Back at home sweet home. Multiple body searches.(How demeaning must that be?) Is this the way her victims felt?
Prison togs, lights on every 15 minutes 24/7.
Bad food, overflowing toilet.
Did I leave anything out?
How comforted her victims must be pondering this.
MOO.

I don't fancy her chances of surviving long enough to name names.
If she has any sense she will be keeping her mouth shut and will have made it known that there are insurance policies to keep her safe. MOO
Why don't you think she will survive long enough to name names? What will happen? What insurance policies will protect her? Serious questions. I am interested after following this sex cult for years and years.

I may have missed it -- did the judge set a date for sentencing?

Ghislaine Maxwell Is a Tricky Monster—but She Didn’t Fool the Jury

But while this case may have involved jet-setting millionaires, it was no different from the seedy cases of human trafficking that occur every day in America.

Throughout the three-week trial, the defense used the scapegoat defense, pointing to the figurative empty chair that would have been occupied by Epstein, had he not taken his own life in 2019 while in federal custody in this case. Maxwell’s attorneys cast Epstein as the driving force behind the trafficking scheme. That may have been true, but that did not mean exoneration for Maxwell.

In fact, the evidence at trial showed that she was an essential component of the scheme.

It was Maxwell who recruited and groomed the victims, earned their trust, and normalized sexual behavior so that they could be exploited. She was, as prosecutors argued, “the key to the whole operation.” Her motive for assisting Epstein? Prosecutors pointed to the $30 million Epstein paid her between 1999 and 2007.

The term “sex trafficking” conjures the image of a victim being kidnapped, bound and caged against one’s will. In fact, more often, predators use lies and deception to entice vulnerable victims to trust them before engaging in sexual abuse.

As an expert witness testified at the trial, the grooming process may involve giving gifts, building trust and attachment through expressions of concern, bringing up sexual topics in conversation, and slowly escalating sexual interactions

I know they struggled with the definition of enticement! There I was, looking it up on Google and Wikipedia. I have heard that in the end, since GM did not arrange Jane's arrival TO NM, but she did arrange a flight home for her...that this is what hung the jury up on this specific charge... ( Maybe? )

Ghislaine Maxwell Now Faces Another Criminal Trial for Perjury

Ghislaine Maxwell’s guilty verdict is likely not the last trial result she will face. The 60-year-old will be in court again -- probably next year -- on charges that she lied under oath about boyfriend Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse of underage girls.

In the perjury case, prosecutors say Maxwell lied during a 2016 deposition taken as part of a defamation lawsuit brought by Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre. While the suit was settled for an undisclosed amount, prosecutors used portions of Maxwell’s sworn testimony as a basis for the charges, saying she lied when asked about Epstein’s activities, denying knowledge of his recruitment and interactions with underage girls.

According to the deposition transcript, Maxwell was asked at least five different times if she believed that Epstein sexually abused minors. The socialite didn’t give a yes or no answer. The most she said was “You are asking me to speculate and I won’t speculate.”

oh yes. GM has some leverage now that she has been convicted. Naming names.
So now the question begs, who does she have more leverage with?
Or who does she stand a better chance with, to benefit her personally?

Prison/legal officials, or the very names that she could name?

Where is he indeed. I understand there is a sweet piece of investment property on market in little st. james.

He dumped her.
She is of no use to him anymore...no more introductions to big shots etc. Just like he is no use to her anymore either.
He is cavorting around with a new gf.
If I were the gf, I'd come to my senses and leave town.

It's too late, leverage comes with plea deals, not after being convicted of 5 charges. Federal sentencing won't change for her.

I was thinking in due time she could negotiate with the government for sentence reduction if she informs on the involved powerful, Friends of Jeff , who have conspired to remain anonymous. What do you think?

I still think the government would love to know who Jeff's "friends" are. Maybe government already knows, but this is still a federal case. Who better to know what really went on? Maxwell is in a unique position of not having much to loose.
