NY - Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein confidante, arrested on Sex Abuse charges, Jul 2020 #5

Justice demands courage. For the first time, the Department of Justice is reaching out to Ghislaine Maxwell to ask: what do you know? At
@AGPamBondi’s direction, I’ve contacted her counsel. I intend to meet with her soon. No one is above the law—and no lead is off-limits.

"For the first time."

Good one.

That's strong initiative....on a case that is years old.

I don’t think we know if it’s the first time. We also don’t know what kind of deal this DOJ will reach with her, or if any evidence she reveals will ever be made public or, if criminal, will be acted upon.

There’s a major conflict of interest right now regarding this DOJ and the POTUS who appointed them to their current positions. This major conflict is centered around the fact that this POTUS had a longstanding relationship/ friendship with Maxwell and Epstein.

Until those conflicts of interest are resolved, it’s impossible to trust anything that comes from this investigation. It would be especially troubling if this POTUS chose to “pardon” Maxwell, as he has done for many other dangerous convicted criminals.

True, we don't know. I'm just quoting "for the first time" since that is what was posted by U.S. Deputy Attorney General. He chose the words to make public. :)

I agree that the elephant in the room is G Maxwell, who is alive and knows too much.
With threats and deaths taking place too often, how safe is she feeling?
She seems to have some sort of insurance policy in place- how is that?

And then there are the hundreds of victims- where are all these victims? Likely some have been disappeared, some are still being trafficked, some likely do not speak English, some have gone underground for safety and trying to live a normal life.
They must be terrified- as they are the ones who have realized the heights of power and money that threatens their safety- and keeps them quiet.

What will we do if those files are released to the public? Are we ready for that level of truth and list of clients?
I fear we as American citizens, and citizens of other countries around the world will find out many leaders, CEOs, elites, politicians, and rich SOBs are in those files.
If the victims are in hundreds to thousands- that is a lot of clients over many decades. Sick

So, what will we really do if names come out? People are going to believe what they believe.

It is the victims that should be vindicated, validated, and sue all the estates for every penny- so they can live comfortably while others are in prison. That happens in an ideal world- and while I hate to sound cynical…We don’t live in that world.

IMO
If the information is released to the public, I assume the names of the victims will be anonymized.

If information is released to the public, only G Maxwell, the victims, and the perps, and the DOJ will know if it is complete and accurate.

Do I really think all the names of clients will be released? No

I don’t think most people know how far back in time the victims of J Epstein could go.
In his early twenties he was a teacher in NYC for a few years in the mid 1970’s. He taught 8th grade math and also high school math and physics.
8th graders are 13-14 years old
He was dismissed from his teaching job after a few years.
Issues with male teachers and students were handled very differently in the 1970s.
Could there have been victims back that far in time? Yes

J Epstein’s llegal issues began when he paid a 14 yr old for sex- 2006 was his first charge.

J Epstein Who is he?- The Economic Times

G Maxwell has nothing to lose here- and everything to lose.
The deals the DOJ made with Epstein won’t apply to her… she will be back to 20 years.

Is it possible she could have her sentence reduced and be set free at some point and all of these depraved and very public charges be put behind her so she could live a normal life? No
If she is ever set free- the civil suits will begin- Epstein can’t be sued. So she will field the brunt of those cases.
And all of those clients will know she could turn at any time.

She has Nothing to lose and Everything to lose- what will she do? Her enemy list is very long, powerful, worldwide, and rich- both clients and victims!

She could get pardoned by the president.

Probably more people will know, simply because Epstein was investigated numerous times over a period of several years. Both state and federal prosecutors in NY and FL will have seen a lot of the information in his files.

I hope there are some who have the integrity to fact check anything that's released.

Supposedly the Speaker is calling to recess the House. It usually does recess around this time and resumes session in September. In the old days, they recessed after passing the budget for the next fiscal year. They're not even close to doing that.

@molcranenewman

The DOJ is coordinating with Ghislaine Maxwell’s lawyers but hasn’t contacted victims (nor did they before offering Epstein immunity in 2007)

Now Ghislaine Maxwell wants to read her grand jury transcripts, "We have discussed our request to review the grand jury transcripts with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, and he has no objection to our application."

One names Susan has started to speak out. Hopefully it gives the others courage to do so.

He's doing it early so that they won't have to vote on it.

For a guy who says he wants transparency, Johnson sure is going to a lot of trouble to avoid releasing the files.

But aren't they all part of the massive coverup? There's definitely a Trump-sized clog in that drain attached to the swamp...is draino going to be enough?

Yes. Leaving with a lot of unfinished business

No, not all of them. There were prosecutors from different states, different political backgrounds. Hopefully some of them will be tired of protecting Epstein.
