NY - Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein confidante, arrested on Sex Abuse charges, Jul 2020 #5

Predictably,

During her nine hours speaking with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche last month, Ghislaine Maxwell said nothing during the interview that would be harmful to President Donald Trump, telling Blanche that Trump had never done anything in her presence that would have caused concern, according to sources familiar with what Maxwell said.

The Trump administration, meanwhile, is considering publicly releasing the transcripts from the interview, multiple sources familiar with the internal discussions told ABC News.
....
There is also an audio recording of the interview, the sources said, but it's not clear whether the administration plans to release the audio to accompany any public release of the transcript.

“She deserves to be out, and maybe she never deserved to be there in the first place,” Kelly emphasized, arguing that the descriptions of Maxwell and Epstein as “perverts” and “child molesters” were things we had “heard” from the “media” and “prosecutors.”
According to the judge in her case: "The evidence at trial established that Ms. Maxwell directly and repeatedly and over the course of many years participated in a horrific scheme to entice, transport, and traffic underage girls, some as young as 14, for sexual abuse by and with Jeffrey Epstein. I will pause on those words for a moment, "by and with Epstein". It is important at the outset to emphasize that although Epstein was, of course, central to this criminal scheme, Ms. Maxwell is not being punished in place of Epstein or as a proxy for Epstein. Like every other defendant in a multi-defendant case, Ms. Maxwell is being punished for the role that she played in the criminal conduct. As to that role, the trial evidence established that Ms. Maxwell was instrumental in the abuse of several underage girls and that she herself participated in some of the abuse..."

Trump then claimed that transfers like Maxwell's were common.

"It’s not a very uncommon thing," he said.

But Vito Maraviglia, a retired federal prison special investigative agent, said in an interview that in his 27 years on the job he doesn't recall an instance in which a sex offender was moved to a prison camp.

Placing Maxwell there meant it would be easier for her to escape or for someone on the outside to target her on the camp’s grounds, Maraviglia said.

“The logic to me is not there,” he added. “It doesn’t pass the smell test.”

Robert Hood, a former Bureau of Prisons chief of internal affairs, said in an email that Maxwell’s transfer to the camp in Bryan is a “travesty of justice.”

“To relocate a sex offender serving 20 years to a country club setting is offensive to victims and others serving similar crimes,” wrote Hood, who also served as warden at the ADX Florence “supermax” prison in Colorado.

"While the political class takes sides in this battle. The victims of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell are often ignored," said attorney Gloria Allred.

Actress Alicia Arden, an alleged victim of Jeffrey Epstein, answered questions in high-profile attorney Allred's office on Wednesday.

"I believe, yes, the files should be released. I'm tired of the government saying that they want to release them, so please just do it," Arden said.

The Bay Watch actress is the first person to have documented proof that she filed a police report against Epstein in 1997 for sexual battery, according to Allred.

As detailed in that report, Arden met Epstein at the Shutters Hotel in Santa Monica, thinking it was a modeling interview for Victoria's Secret.

According to the same report, Epstein told her to undress, then pulled up her blouse and skirt, groped her buttocks, and said, "Let me manhandle you for a second."

So she's moved to the facility, though nobody can explain the highly unusual move for a convict with her charges, and the facility is not equipped with the proper security for an inmate like her so they have to upgrade and make changes (after her arrival?), under a federal administration that claims to be hellbent on reducing unnecessary expenses and that promised transparency on the Epstein issue.

jmopinion.

After this swirling around in my head for awhile, I'm wondering if this isn't a case of "be careful what you wish for". This is such a high profile case, the crimes create so much fervor in people, and there are so many loose cannons in the world -- would she ever be safe if pardoned?

I'm guessing her life might be happier and longer if she retires from the spotlight and quietly waits out her sentence. Just my own opinion after some pondering.

Sigh.

No points for guessing who/ what sort of folks **might** have been mentioned by GH as having done things that were **cause for concern** in her presence.

At least the grift here is transparent. No wonder that Epstein and GH's victims, again and again revictimized, are outraged.

Given that she's a convicted sex trafficker, one has to wonder exactly what a person would have to do to cause her "concern," since apparently JE's assaults--some of which she participated in--caused none.

Right. The bar has been set pretty low here. But the DOJ seems to trust her judgment. They would. Their bar is set pretty low, too.

She’s spent most of her life hanging around with “wealthy” criminals, grifters and con artists. I wouldn’t call that “privileged”. They’re morally bankrupt.

It’s appalling to see this disgusting drama playing out in the White House and Executive Branch.

Infuriating that a predator like Ghislaine is in a cushy club fed prison. She raped kids.

It's obvious that she was placed in this club fed prison due to what she knows and those responsible for her being moved there are more or less buying her silence. If she was in danger of being attacked by other inmates because she would be considered a snitch she would have been isolated from the general population.

I have no doubt if the JE client list was ever reveled there would be many politicians that don't want their names made public or even let it be known they associated with JE. As her reward for remaining silent she was moved to this cushy prison and before it is all said and done, I wouldn't be surprised if she is granted a full pardon by DT and allowed to leave the USA.
