I am gobsmacked by people who believe Ghislaine Maxwell was railroaded into prison. That she's innocent of the charges and her conviction was a travesty.

She was nothing but a procurer for her boss. It was a transactional relationship: she brought him young girls and he pretended she was his significant other. She was exactly that, a procurer, a groomer, a woman who didn't have a scintilla of compassion for the young girls she roped into the sex trade. She's nothing more than a female version of David Brooks, one of Dean Corll's accomplices, enticing young girls for the pleasure of Jeffrey Epstein.

While she never killed anybody she helped kill the spirit of all these women who are still being pilloried and disbelieved by Trump supporters. Just like David Brooks who was paid to troll for teen boys, she got the perks of being with a multi-millionaire with a predilection for young girls: international travel, hobnobbing with presidents and future presidents, royalty, superstars and the glitter of the ultra rich's orbit.

I have to ask. Why is it that Trump's team and rabid supporters never seem to ask Trump why he loses his mind about the Epstein files? Are they that obtuse? We all know why he plays the game of "Squirrel!" nearly every single day.

Poor Senator Franken’s story taught me a lot. Sexual lives, sometimes even stupid jokes, have been weaponized, and to be honest, I almost don’t care what was the color code of dresses on Epstein’s island. I vaguely suspect there is not much substance in the most recent allegations, because thinking logically, the Dems were in power for the previous term and had access to all Epstein’s documents. If currently it comes to “the usual”, exchanging accusations and threats of lawsuits, it means, there is nothing solid in the files about these people. I might be wrong, of course.

His island is at US Virgin Island, US territory. Epstein bought in in 1998. Turned that place into a honeypot. Epstein was first arrested for sex trafficking in 2009 and served time in jail. Got out and continued. Politicians, stars, Prince Andrews are unsurprising. But who allowed him to approach scientists?

This IMHO bespeaks very poor job by the agencies that should have known, under two different presidents and two different parties. I am very skeptical about the source of Epstein’s money and who he truly worked for. His main official client, the owner of the lingerie company, was a shady guy, with idiosyncratic interests, so there is that.

The whole story of Epstein and Maxwell’s activities is ugly to the core but the answer to the question why he was allowed to even own the island in 2010 and thereafter might be much uglier. I doubt our country will ever get anything from his files except for a major headache. That woman, Ghislaine Maxwell’s main job provider is not difficult to guess, her activity in the US was toxic, and she well-deserves her time in jail. JMO.

She began as a conduit to worlds he wanted to move in, and became a conduit to and enthusiastic participant in the procurement of vulnerable children and young women for JE to abuse and damage.

In terms of culpability she is more a Karla Homalka than the moderating influence/ JE victim she has claimed to be.

Some ex-Israeli spies have previously claimed that GM's father was a Mossad agent. If this is true it does make one wonder exactly who Epstein's connections all were

I won't link directly as she is not MSM and her expertise is historical royal stories, not current events. But, it's a solid review and I appreciate her focus on what sources were used to write the biography and the noteworthiness (or lack of noteworthiness) of the content.

I should've been more clear. I think Ghislaine's role was more than procuring and more than participating. She's been convicted of those actions, rightly so. But I think the sex-abuse part of the couple's actiities was not the main thing they were doing with the elite of the world. The elite of the world can get any sex partner they want - it can be arranged. They didn't need Jeffrey and Ghislaine for that, though they enjoyed it when offered. Just a guess, imo.

Acosta was supervising work release program of Epstein in 2009. So after Epstein is released - in Democratic time! - Epstein goes back to his island. After Trump is elected, the Dems raise questions about Epstein; Acosta, the Labor secretary, resigns, Epstein is arrested.

But lots of questions to the Democrats as well: all inquiries into Epstein emerged when a rival party comes to power. But, why the heck has no one shut down his “Lolita express” in 2009 or 2010?

So Epstein is dead. I doubt that Maxwell will be of any loyalty to the US. So she should be treated like any international spy of her caliber. The files should either be destroyed or sent back to the “producers” as they are becoming obsolete anyhow.

Sorry but at this point all files related to Epstein - including all his contacts - need to be disclosed. Whoever is involved with him must be seen for what they are regardless of party or status. At this point everyone associated with him can be assumed to have known of his criminal activity - unless and until the documents prove otherwise. There is definitely a pedophile ring among the ultra rich and powerful. We need to eradicate it, root and branch. I want them all in jail. No forgiveness, no forgetting!
