GM stinks(literally)
Following this incident, MDC staff directed the defendant to clean her cell because it had become very dirty. Among other things, MDC staff noted that the defendant frequently did not flush her toilet after using it, which caused the cell to smell. In addition, the defendant had not cleaned her cell in some time, causing the cell to become increasingly dirty.
MDC staff directed the defendant to clean her cell in response to the smell and the dirtiness, not as retaliation for complaining about a particular search.

So pleased that this has made news, for all the world to see: dirty scum.
Hope they have these headlines, plastered around the prison.
Ha, ha.........

Read this twice. not seeing the bathroom complaints.
What am I missing?
Footnotes. They are very revealing. It's hilarious they've been categorized as footnotes: they pretty much jump off the page.

Oh, my gosh..... Every word of this is worth a read. This woman has a thousand forms of manipulation, and the MDC are professionals in end-running psychopaths. It's the ultimate cat-and-mouse.
GM obviously lies about EVERYTHING, but no one much has ever challenged her. 'Til now.
I guess GM thought, since she'd never cleaned her room (let alone her toilet) her whole life, she wasn't about to start....
She'd be so dangerous in general population... Good thing they have her isolated, for everyone's safety.
It sounds like her attorneys are babysitting her. She has videoconferences with them for 5 hours every day?
Can you imagine the attorneys fees she is paying? I’m sure it’s torture talking to her 5 hrs a day, but they’re literally getting rich.

In filing today, federal prosecutors write that with new indictment Ghislaine Maxwell faces up to 80 years in prison if she is convicted:

“The defendant now faces two additional charges, which increase the maximum penalty she faces to eighty years in prison. She also faces even more evidence, including a fourth victim, who is corroborated by independent evidence, including other witnesses and documents such as travel records, phone records, shipment records, and items recovered during the execution of a search warrant”

Disgust sensitivity is correlated with emotional stability, suggesting that those low in disgust sensitivity are more likely to very stable emotionally. Research also suggests that those low in disgust sensitivity are less likely to make moral condemnations.

MOO is that someone who can occupy a cell with an un-flushed toilet by choice is probably very low on the disgust sensitivity scale.

I'm confused by that first sentence. It seems contradictory.

And that would make GM "very stable emotionally"????? Would lack of conscience and self-absorption count? Sociopathy?

Maybe she’s making her cell gross in an attempt to keep other people away from her.

I think it depends on what kind of "disgust" they're talking about.

Sensitivity to disgust is related to 'whether or not a person is emotionally stable,' is how I would interpret the first sentence.

So apparently in whatever study they are referring to, it was found that people who have a high tolerance for disgust are more stable emotionally, and less likely to make moral condemnations.

I don't know how emotionally stable she is, but it's pretty clear she doesn't have any morals and not flushing her toilet is disgusting.

We know that if your tolerance to disgusting things like unflushed toilets is high, your emotional stability is low. Maybe the first sentence is just written wrong? This type of mistake happens frequently in online communication. I'm guilty of it myself, more than I care to admit. ie: Gold does not make you rich. er... I meant Gold does make you rich.

I'm thinking GM doesn't have any morals, but maybe the disgust theory is not exactly on point, 'cos she maybe all her life had someone flush her toilet for her and clean up her room? So, she refuses to do it now, not out of tolerance for disgust, so much as it's beneath her?
Did she have housekeeping in NH? That's a very interesting question in this regard...

That secret husband in NH probably flushed for her.

Who if you're lucky enough to have one don't flush their own filth? Or does that bedet? That fancy water squirter do it for ya?

Man, this means I'm emotionally unstable? That or trying to save on the water bill?

Need to go look up Psych 101?

Well, if you can handle looking at graphic crime scene pictures or if nurses and doctors can handle the things they see, it could mean you are emotionally stable.

One thing we know is that Maxwell doesn't seem to have much empathy for her victims, stable or not.

When I was a kid and we lived in European-style houses, I called that a "washy-bottom". No one ever corrected me. Those require flushing too, but no matter, since poor GM prolly doesn't have one in her cell.

I just think it's so bizarre GM is that prudish, given what she's being charged with, and what victims experienced.

On vacation one year, my mother insisted I flush the toilet for her. She said it was too hard to do it. I said "Nonsense." But this goes to show, some people fantasize about other people flushing for them!

You've got to wonder what role that secret husband had....

Lol she actually gained weight recently.

MDC medical staff monitor the defendant daily and weigh the defendant at least once per week. During her time at the MDC, the defendant’s weight has fluctuated between the 130s and the 140s. The defendant’s lowest observed weight was 133 pounds in July of 2021. Since then, her weight has fluctuated but has never been lower than 134 pounds. Most recently, when the defendant was weighed last week, her weight was 137.5 pounds. The defendant is 5’ 7”, meaning that even her lowest weight of 133 pounds resulted in a BMI of 20.8, which is considered a normal weight for a person of the defendant’s height.

The government attorneys clearly had a ball writing this whole letter. Anyone who can make footnotes the main event and not confine them to fine print....
GM doesn’t seem to understand that jail authorities understand sociopaths, don’t fall for their manipulations, and have a huge repertoire of counter-techniques.
GM evidently thinks she can pull one off on them, but failed to account for the obvious: there are witnesses, cameras, time sheets, written records, procedures. I guess it hasn’t sunk in yet that she’s not a special snowflake.

The Courtlistener's reporter must be clairvoyant to know GM's "lowest observed weight was 133 pounds in July of 2021." BBM
