The Schuyler County Sheriff Office has activated the New York State AMBER Alert and is investigating a child abduction that occurred at 325 Rock Cabin Road , in Montour Falls, New York at about 5:00 AM on 5/10/2018.

The CHILD, Gionna K. Harter is a Black female, approximately 1 month old with short, black hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 18 inches long and weighs about 9 pounds.

The SUSPECT, Katrina M Harter is a Black female, approximately 31 years old with curly, black hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 330 pounds.

The SUSPECT was last seen traveling South on North Exchange St Geneva New York .

The child was taken under circumstances which lead police to believe that she is in imminent danger of serious physical injury and/or death. Anyone with any information on this abduction is asked to call the Schuyler County Sheriff Office at (866)N Y S-AMBER or dial 911 to provide information on a report or sighting.

GENEVA, NY (WROC) - Deputies in Schuyler County have issued an alert for a baby that has gone missing in Montour Falls.

The baby, Gionna K. Harter, is 17-days-old. Deputies say Gionna may have been taken by her mother, 31-year-old Katrina Harter. An Amber Alert has now been issued.

Investigators write: "It is believed that Katrina Harter took the child to avoid service of a Family Court Order that transfers custody to another party."

Deputies say Harter could be in Geneva and has ties to Wayne County. Officials say she was last seen on North Exchange Street in Geneva.

Anyone with information on the mother or baby is asked to call the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office at 607-535-8222 or its confidential tip line at 607-535-8224.

So at first glance, it looks like a parental abduction but they believe she is in imminent danger; I wonder what the mom did to lose custody to begin with at 15 days old.

See, this is where I’m totally on board with everyone filming everything. People are filming their crimes & wrapping up evidence for the DA in a nice, pretty bow. It’s awful that this poor FIFTEEN DAY OLD (OMG!) is going through this but I have a good feeling about this. I just do. It’s streaming in my local news right now.

Petit Larceny, Failure to Appear, Disorderly Conduct and "DELINQUENCY DETER"

I'm guessing the Delinquency charge might have something to do with her kids. She probably lost custody of other kids and they took away this baby right away at birth. Just a guess.

Petit larceny basically means she just caught before she could cop so yeah, drugs are likely involved. I wonder if she tested positive at birth & that was why she had her baby taken.

I have yet to figure out how to view FB live comments when viewing after the fact.
I can see the ones the are posted during the video and not the other hundreds, for some reason. When I click on comments I don't get a drop down of them. Hmff.

It seems during the video she says (slurs), "I can't find my needle". Not good!!! It also doesn't look like she is in a hotel but rather a house or an apartment.
