NY - Giraffe Watch: April, 15, due to give birth at Animal Adventure Park #2

The brain rot I was referring to is actually my grey roots, my husband is just hilarious and calls it brain rot.

I think you have an amazing mind and hold interests that are above what my mind can comprehend, but definitely catch my attention when you post about them! I also think that sounds like a great birthday present!!! Dad's are a mess sometimes and just cannot seem to understand not everyone is like them. I have watched my husband expand his thinking while our children have grown up and am actually amazed at times how much he changed since we first met 31 years ago.

That is so funny! Did others know that it was about gray hair?

Does anyone else think that April is looking practically not even pregnant today? I'm not talking about belly size, but rather that I have hardly seen any tail lifting and "pushing" going on today. For the most part, she just looks like she's hanging out. Maybe it's the calm before the storm, or maybe she's a giraffe scam artist who has tricked the humans into doing her bidding and giving her a constant supply of carrot sticks.

I've often wondered how people get huge followers to do anything they want, like cults... well it has surprised me how many are doing that, and not thinking for themself or doing any research to see if what has been said is true or not. People were commenting on FB just last night that an ultrasound couldn't be done because April's skin is too thick... well, WE know that's not true, but it's been stated as fact. So many things like that, and people blindly believe it. I wonder why that is? Am I just a cynical person so question too many things? I don't know.

I'm cynical too lol, that is why we are such good :websleuther:

I was just watching the Toys R Us video interview with the owner and April, and they did indeed say, when asked whether it was a boy or a girl calf, that her skin was too thick to do a sonogram with the one they have. They mentioned the skin was thick to protect against hyenas and lions.

Many have missed seeing the giraffes being put to bed at night; so here is a quick heads up!
Corey will be putting them to bed and giving evening treats at 7:40 pm
Super Chat will be held from 8-9pm on Official Giraffe Cam page. Mods tonight will be the guest services team. Jordan is held up at the park on a construction project!

Supposedly the reason that youtube took it down previously was because haters of the site reported sexually explicit content (just learned that on previous interview I mentioned).

Until last night , respectfully i aint seen shiX! What amazed me last night was it was like she could not control what her tummy was doing. I never thought about it that way.

And not to be rude, but we can't control what the system does when we are on the toilet that what I found so amazing last night.

Last night it was rhymic, that is what blew my mind. And as i watching it it was (not being crass) the same as bowel movement. It is usually not one and poof.

It is a system rhythmically moving things along - that what was what was so amazing to me.

And then I caught on , there is going to be an effort to move things along and THEN over contractions to expel. Before last night I put them in the same cat.

And to be fair to me , I am more than qualified to be clueless about any of this !!!

O/T but for any cat fans who need another "watch", my GMA and I stumbled upon #kittenwatch.

Two sweet pregnant ferals (Evolene and Corsica) that were taken in by a rescue, brought to health, and are both due at any time. Both mamas will be spayed after this litter, as will all of their kittens. I have so much respect and admiration for people who lovingly give of their time to take in the strays of the world.

Certainly not on par with April, but there are almost 4,000 people watching right now.

I truly agree with you. Total fake no , will she give birth. imo yes. BUT

Less typing to do first person. We know she mated on. Do some math. We have learned according to Jorden in his cute little way it does not always take. True.

Say on cc/cc/ccc we saw mating - that time has passed. But then all of us can add 17 twice.
