NY - Gov Spitzer tells staff he's linked to prostitution ring

Jolynna, you will have to buy Ashley's book; she's negotiating the book deal as we speak.

If she names names in a book, they'll be all over the internet. :)

To be honest, I don't care if Ashley makes money. I think she is kind of a small player in the scheme of things and that whatever she makes might be small potatoes compared to the net-worth of most of Emperor Club's johns.

IF Spitzer is number 9 and the Duke of Westminster number 6, who are the higher numbers and what do they do?

I guess since I wouldn't want to have to do some of the things Ashley probably had to do (with who know's what) for any amount of money, I kind of think she may have earned whatever she gets maybe...

As they often say, "it's just mind over matter."

I want to know the names of the men besides the Duke of Westminster who were customer numbers above Spitzer's. Who was Emperor Club customer numbers 1, 2 or 3?

Let me make a guess, could it be:

1 - Charlie Sheen
2 - Bill Clinton
3 - Prince Charles
4 - Mel Gibson
5 - Hugh Grant

LOL .... I have no idea.

I keep seeing fangs being flashed here at the thought of this poor, misdirected, child of God, cashing in big on her fate. Now, now, now, girls, some people are just luckier than some of the rest of us.

Funny... I keep seeing shriveled old men drooling at the thought of buying a young woman (or as you call her, a child), to have sex with.

Now, now, now, old farts, most women are talented enough to find love and make money without selling themselves to some nasty old man.

Show me a man who thinks that women wish they could get "lucky" enough to be a 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬...and I'll show you a man whom no woman would sleep with (unless he paid her four grand).

lol buzz I think you read what I typed wrong! I don't mean by the way I look I would make millions..I just meant if I was HER and in her line of work I too would milk this for what it's worth and make my millions.

Send me a picture Mgs......

Silda was a physical victim from the point in time when her husband first exposed her to STDs and so forth from hookers. Condoms apparently aren't his thing, and even if he did use them, they are not 100% effective against all STDs including oral cancer from HPV. I do not see her as a humilated person at all. She has grace, style and dignity under pressure.
I come from a part of the world where women absolutely would not believe their husbands would ever cheat on them, would not even have a thought of it, unless proof such as this was THROWN in their faces. They are that good, that trusting, that committed to their marriages.
A wife can be trusting of a lousy 🤬🤬🤬 of a husband and still be intelligent, successful, beautiful, poised, everything that I believe Silda is.

The snide remarks and commentary on the late night talk shows make me sick. They want to drag everyone down into the mud with them. I don't think Silda could have been more stunned, shocked, probably in denial when she made the remarks about wanting the 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 to stay in office.
This is how I choose to see it until I am shown evidence that she knew and ignored her personal health and possibly that of her daughters because the man of the house was exposing them to who knows whose bodily fluids on a regular basis for years.
JMO.

ITA. She needs to show her strength to her girls. I think by standing up there looking beautiful and strong she showed the world that she isn't going to be broken by this. She knows her kids - we don't. They must be angry, confused and embarrassed. Silda is showing them that they can keep putting one foot in front of the other, regardless of what he did. They go to a challenging school, but one where many other parents are prominent politicians, sports figures and business people. Hopefully, those families are being supportive because they are aware of how difficult it is to have your personal business in the public spotlight.

This is my opinion as well, luthersmama. Not unlike Hilary Clinton, for what it is worth. I cannot imagine for a hot second what it must be like to have to live this kind of story out in front of the world....she is by all accounts a strong, intelligent, giving and compassionate person. Perhaps she was aware of her husband's peccadilloes in advance, we do not know and shouldn't.

I am fascinated, in the same way I was when Clinton shot himself in the foot with Monica, on these intelligent powerful men needing to take on such incredibly risky behavior when the cost is their entire career not to mention potentially their family. It boggles my mind...

I have experienced this in my marriage, and you really cannot say for sure what you will do when this happens to you. You are in such shock and denial at first, so numb that you cannot think clearly. It's a living nightmare. The first reaction is to want it all to go away, to disappear and have your life the way it used to be (or how you thought it was). Reality has NOT yet set in for this woman.

Also, remember this: You don't "unlove" someone in a day. The day before this broke, she loved her husband. Is she expected to suddenly "unlove" him overnight? I'm not defending his behavior in any way, but remember this is her husband of many years. It's so easy to judge when you don't have a lifetime together and all of the emotions that go along with it. She will need time to sort of this out and go through the necessary stages, before she can make any decision what to do.

And when you have 3 children involved, it only makes it more complicated and painful.

I so agree! It's so easy to say what we would do until we find the unthinkable happening to us.

Well, here's something I actually know something about!

The income is taxable, even if it was made illegally. The fact that you do not get a 1099, W2, K-1, etc. does not mean you don't have to put it down.

You can put it down as "Income from a trade or business". That's accurate.

However, unlike attorneys, there is no accountant-client privilege, so be careful.

This is my first year as a "paid consultant". I'm not looking forward to figuring out the tax crap.

And no, it's not in the sex industry! lol

LOL .... I have no idea.

One comedian joked that "clients 1-8 were Charlie Sheen".

I heard this weekend that she had moved out of the building due to all the press etc. Other residents were complaining.

I also heard from that ex-pimp that has been on the shows (young dark-haired guy) that the more expensive hookers (not sure he used that word) "loved sex". ROFL I think they are just really good actresses. I could act REAL GOOD for $4300 an evening!

Dina McGreevey is another one who should just go away quietly and stop trying to milk her time in the spotlight. I know for a FACT that she knew about her husband the entire time. The bickering back and forth between her and Jim regarding custody is unreal - the two of them should be ashamed of themselves.

Speaking of Dina McGreevey...

McGreevey aide says he had sexual trysts with ex-governor, wife

http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/200...e_had_sex.html

snip

A former aide to James E. McGreevey said today that he had three-way sexual trysts with the former governor and his wife before he took office, challenging Dina Matos McGreevey's assertion that she was naive about her husband's sexual exploits.
The aide, Theodore Pedersen, said he and the couple even had a nickname for the weekly romps, from 1999 to 2001, that typically began with dinner at T.G.I. Friday's and ended with a threesome at McGreevey's condo in Woodbridge.
They called them "Friday Night Specials," according to Pedersen.
Pedersen described the encounters during an interview with The Star-Ledger. He said he wanted to refute the innocent image that Matos McGreevey has projected - both during the couple's ongoing divorce battle and in interviews she gave after New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer resigned last week in a sex scandal. He said he was also incensed by her portrayal of herself as an unsuspecting wife in her book: "Silent Partner: A Memoir of My Marriage."
"I wanted to get this out now because it was so offensive to me that she goes on television playing the victim," Pedersen said. "She's trying to make this a payday for herself. She should have told the truth about the three of us."

That McGreevey woman and Silda Spitzer have NOTHING in common except cheating husbands at this point.
If Silda starts going on talk shows and milking the sick situation for her personal gain, and writes a book like Dina has, then I will hold her in the same contempt. I really don't see her as being the same class of person that Dina is and was.

It is one thing to have grace under pressure, it quite another to pretend to have dignity while holding one's hand out for money to sob and recount the sordid details for Oprah. I hope that therein lies the difference between the two women.

Yes, they do seem to be different. Somehow, I don't see Silda Spitzer writing a book.

For $4300 I would be loving it too!

You are right on too.. Take it from someone who has been there. You have NO IDEA how different it is once you are in the situation.

Having been in a similar situation or not has nothing to do with how any individual handles a problem.

My husband would be out the door, his career and public humiliations would be his to bear alone! I am postive if the roles were reversed he would kick me to the curb quicker than spit and not hold my hand for the sake of appearances.
