NY NY - Jacob Pritchette, 11, autistic, not seen several weeks, mother arrested, Brownsville/Brooklyn, Sept 2025

Is there any other family nearby? Does the mother have a vehicle? That's a very dense area. To be blunt, where would she have placed his remains?

I am with you in being blunt, but I think he was put out in the trash on garbage pick-up day.

The only other scenario I can think of is if she left him alive somewhere he couldn't survive.

Horrible things to think about, and, tbh, I don't have high hopes for recovery.

The article above revealed the floor and room location. A green seal has been attached by the police. According to the article, neighbors had not seen the child for 6-8 weeks.

From the article you posted:

Multiple neighbors expressed shock about the boy’s age due to his small size.

“He was 11? He looked 7 or 8,” said neighbor

Looks like a NYCHA (public housing) building to me from the signage. The NYCHA buildings there are smaller, newer, three-story buildings, though, so I'm not sure. It might be the gray-roofed rows at the lower left, slightly south of where ENY and Pitkin meet.

I wonder when the last time he received any medical care was. Was he ever diagnosed with autism or is this just something the mother tells people?

Are there other relatives (father, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.) that should have seen him?

If mother ways already taken for a psych assessment I assume she either threatened suicide or presented very unwell?

My guess is the later. She is denying her son existed, the electricity is cut off (which takes time to happen). I just don't think she was capable of functioning, let alone taking care of a special-needs child.

Well, she initially denied even having a child to authorities conducting the well check so . . yeah, I am betting that was one of several bizarre, clearly not correct, statements she made on the scene which caused them to admit her to hospital rather than take her to jail for being unable to produce her child for a well check.

So did (likely) hurting her child result in her being unwell or was she already unwell.

I guess we will find out

I do think it sounds like he was very special-needs and dependent. We'll see...

I wonder if his father was 100% gone from his life (not judging that as good or bad).
