In NYC they should be able to track if her car went to Queens. She would have to cross at least one bridge to do so. The toll bridges all have license plate readers and some, if not all, have facial recognition technology to try to identify drivers of vehicles.

But Cuomo said on Friday that license plates scanned at the toll plazas, at least, are already being checked “for warrants, suspected felons, parole violators, terrorist suspects” — and that the intel is passed within five seconds on to cop cars stationed at the crossings.

“It’s a phenomenal security device,” he said.

Thanks for this. I always wondered why there were police in cars stationed at the NY/NJ bridges and tunnels, and here I thought they were looking for toll cheats.

So the last person to see her was the ex husband and his girlfriend at his house?
Well, that is what it seems like if you try to construct a timeline. However, the media is carrying the story that Jeanine was last seen dropping off her boyfriend at his place at 9pm.

NYPD asks for help locating missing Staten Island teacher; friends on edge

The girlfriend of her estranged husband, however, said she showed up at their house in Queens late Saturday night before disappearing. The children were at the house with the husband, and have remained in his custody unharmed since their mother went missing, sources said.

Her boyfriend, Aaron, told the Advance she dropped him off Saturday night in New Springville after a shopping trip and said she had plans of picking up her children from her former husband at the 120 Precinct stationhouse in St. George.

The husband’s girlfriend said there was no exchange at the 120, and that Cammarata showed up to the house in Queens instead. She said they had a brief conversation, then Cammarata left and that was the last they saw her.

I wonder if the husband walked her out to her car after the “brief conversation” that night?

Possible. But, in the story I linked previously from WCBS radio: Jeanine's sister says she contacted the ex-husband and she says he told that Jeannine came to the house and stayed and rested before leaving around midnight.

So, the girlfriend apparently said one thing and the ex-husband another but from what I can tell we are getting that information second-hand (at best).

Then we have Jeanine's boyfriend's story that Jeanine was going to the 120th precinct (about 1 mile from Jeanine's apartment) to pick up her kids in a custody exchange. Yet, she apparently went all the way to Queens.

At the moment Police are saying she was last seen when she dropped off her boyfriend.

It would lead one to think that the story with the problem is the ex-husband and his girlfriend. However, the news reports had detectives going to the Dollar Tree where Jeanine worked and taking Jeanine's boyfriend and her co-worker for questioning.

Something stinks with the stories. I doubt NYPD is inclined to straighten any of it out yet. It doesn't seem that this case will have a positive outcome. I hope I am wrong about that.

It would have to be VERY unusual for a custody exchange to be done at a police station. In fact, I've never heard of that specifically; if a parent has supervised visitation, it's usually at the social worker's office, and I do know that my city has a few public places where parents who are prohibited from being together with their children can drop off and pick up the kids - and they have zero tolerance for any funny stuff.

It's not terribly unusual here. It might be put in place by a judge if there's a restraining order in place by mom or dad toward the other parent. The other condition would be, no r/o, but if one of the parents specifically asked due to a history of DV, or to ensure the non-custodial parent adheres to the visitation schedule.

So, let me see if I have this right. The ex-husband and his girlfriend live in Queens? Jeanine and the ex were supposed to exchange the kids at a police station on Staten Island, but instead the ex is saying Jeanine dropped off the kids in Queens?

I'm assuming if she regularly drives that she has an EZPass for the bridge tolls. So, LE should be able to find out if she returned to Staten Island, right?

FWIW, the Verrazzano bridge between Staten Island and Brooklyn costs $19 without an EZPass to cross. It's the most expensive bridge toll in the nation! With an EZPass, the toll is $12.24, but Staten Island residents with an EZPass pay $5.50. So, it does make some sense for Jeanine to drive to Queens rather than the ex to drive to Staten Island for the child exchange, assuming she has an EZPass.

So. The ex and her are in a custody battle over the kids, hearing in a few days. The ex and his gf claim she showed up at their home but the kids were asleep, so she rested a while before disappearing into the night? IMO if they’re meeting at a police station to swap the kids, there must have been some serious issues in communication between the parents. Why the sudden change of heart? Now, she’s not only visiting the house to get the kids but she’s comfortable enough to “rest” a while too? Hmmm. Then she sends texts that are obviously in favor of the ex-“doing this for the children” etc; suggesting abandonment on the mothers part. IMO this entire situation reeks of a bad ending. Praying for your safe return Cammarata.

I think she went to the husbands and girlfriends house to pick up her kids after she left her boyfriends house.

Oh dear. I just realized I know her and her husband through mutual friends.

FWIW, she is the plaintiff of the divorce action.

Okay, so she was supposed to pick up the kids, not drop them off. That makes sense if she has custody of them during the week and ex has them on the weekend.

But she rested at the ex's house and then left without the kids?

Do I have that right?

“However, the news reports had detectives going to the Dollar Tree where Jeanine worked and taking Jeanine's boyfriend and her co-worker for questioning.”

Sounds like the news reporters might be getting their information from the Husband?

"Her current boyfriend was questioned by police, but is not considered a person of interest at this time, a different source said." https://nypost.com/2019/04/03/frien...er-sent-strange-messages-before-she-vanished/
