Question: were search/cadaver dogs used, and if so, why were they not effective?

The area where she was found was east & just outside of the area that was the initial focus of the search. The area where they are indicating that she was found is not where the last cell use was. The way that I picture it, given the route that I believe the killer followed, Jenni-Lyn's body was left in the park and then later, as the killer was driving away, he threw the cell into the heavily wooded area that they have been searching.

I think that anyone local who made suggestions of "check the swamp" or "check behind the sheds" is just guessing likely locations due to their own familiarity with the area, not because they were involved or knew anything specific. (Except maybe the alleged comment about seeing a red truck, I did not see that myself).

As I was driving around today, just north of that area, I was thinking about the river, the swamps, the farm land and all of the wooded areas that I was passing. There are so many secluded areas near her home that her killer could have driven 5 miles in several directions and found a decent hiding place.

RIP Jenni-Lyn. Prayers for her family and friends. Such a tragic waste of life.

Her myspace says she loves SMP so I'm assuming SMP is Steven Pieper, her ex boyfriend.

All of this is so very sad -- the men at the press conference look so sad. But you can tell that they are *angry* at the situation and what happened, by their language and how they're describing the suspect. They're stressing a lot of information will come out at the trial.

LE: Within a very short period of time (after she was taken by SP) she was dumped like garbage......
