Since I'm signed on, I'll give my two cents. I don't have anything new to say, but just want to echo you all's frustration. For the life of me, I cannot understand all the silence in some of these cases. They put *just enough* out there for people to know that JR is missing, but not enough to give anyone any real clue as to what is going on. The apparent lack of missing posters, the lack of people shouting from the rooftops that this woman needs to be found, the quietness of the police, the discouragement of people forming search parties. Where's the urgency? Is this because everyone close to her suspects she took off on her own? Or because everyone suspects a certain individual, and they're hoping the truth will eventually come out? Or what?? So weird.
I think I said something earlier in this thread about the Ivy Merck case, because in some small way, this reminds me of that. The silence, the deleting of posts on facebook, the fishiness of the whole thing - all of which causes so much curiousity and speculation. With Ivy, she took off on her own, out of the blue, for who knows what reason (seriously, I'll be forever irritated about that whole thing, grrrrrrrr).
If they think she took off on her own, why not say so? If they think she's in danger, why isn't there an extreme urgency to locate her? If they think she's deceased, why not work 24/7 to find her asap, and why not talk to everyone in town to find potential information?
SOO frustrating.
