I think that's a great idea!

Also, someone asked way back if GR may have worn another layer of clothes on top of the sweatshirt. I was thinking that maybe he put on a garbage bag over his sweatshirt thereby exposing the sleeves? A lot of boxers do this.

Probably doesn't. He may be embarrassed that he has essentially nothing to offer w/ regard to defense, so thinks that by doing this (or making the request) - -it will make the jury think there's something there. He may be trying to elongate the time since the compelling testimony last week -- hoping the jury will forget.

ETA: so there you have it. Judge denied request. That might leave a seed of doubt in jury's mind.

Was that done with the jury in the room? Wonder why not at in a sidebar conference.

The day is early I wonder why closing wasn't today?

Both sides can give their closing statements in AM tomorrow, then jury will have rest of day to deliberate (probably won't take long). I'm expecting a verdict mid-afternoon tomorrow.
