Ramsaran faces 25 years to life in wife’s murder

A Chenango County man faces 25 years to life in state prison when he is sentenced Monday for the 2012 murder of his wife.

Ganesh “Remy” Ramsaran, 39, was found guilty in September of second-degree murder in the death of Jennifer Renz Ramsaran. The New Berlin man stood trial for three weeks in Chenango County Court.

I have been away and not reading much. The snow falling outside reminded me of Jennifer, I always think about her when I see the snow gathering on the sidewalk :(. I still remember the day I made my little justice for Jennifer banner :(. Watching the Dateline episode made me sick, hearing them talk about her being "addicted" to the game made me rage so hard.

So glad to see that he was found guilty and that "the truth" came out. It seems that he is just as unbelievable as I thought, he tried to bribe his way out of jail?! :notgood:

Ramsaran complained about jail conditions, argued about the lack of evidence, said he is only guilty of having an affair.

Ramsaran pleaded not guilty on bribery charges. 10 minute recess for sentencing on murder.

Accusing the judge sentencing you is not considered good form.

"It is without sadness, without regret and without remorse I am sentencing you to..." Read the paper today to find out Ramsaran's sentence.

Remy remains Without sadness, Without regret and Without remorse. Still raging and ranting.

Seriously???!!!! He accused the judge of an affair??? Is there any end to the trainwreck?:trainwreck:

Judge's comment, "without sadness, without regret and without remorse I am sentencing you to..." pretty much sums it up for me. But what, exactly, does 25 years to life mean? Which is it?

It is true the evidence was circumstantial and physical evidence was lacking, but I have never seen more evidence of narcissism (Ramsaran).

Is this the whole sentence? What about the attempted escape charge? Will that be separate?

<snip>

He then stunned the courtroom by claiming what he had done was no different than what the judge has done ni his own personal life. "You've had your own affair," he remarked.

<snip>

Calling attention to Ramsaran's at times weepy testimony during the trial, Revoir said, "You should win an Academy Award for your ability to cry."
