I have read some on this before, especially in regards to serial killers and determining their possible locations by using the familiar range.

I did something similar in this case as well before Jennifer's body was discovered, by drawing 10 mile radii circles around each of the things pertinent to the case, assigning a yellow circle around the Ramsaran residence, a red circle around the site where the van was found, and a blue circle around the Moon Hill/SR 23 intersection.

On my map, Jennifer's body was located on the fringe of the red circle.

I've included that map here, so that the moderators can add it to the Media and Map thread.

I should point out that the location marked "Body Found" on the map is wrong. Jennifer's body was still located in that vicinity on the outer fringes of the red circle (purple area), but located a little to the east of there.

I had made the "Body Found" notation on the map, the night that they had discovered her body, and before Jennifer was positively identified.

The coordinates used on the map are as follows:
Ramsaran Sheff Road residence = 42.5697665, -75.4342695
Moon Hill Road Intersection on State Road 23 = 42.597462, -75.599113
Plank Road Manor Apartments = 42.541839, -75.534604

Radius distance: 10 mi (16.09 km)

Proper approximate coordinates for the location where Jennifer's body was discovered are as follows:
Center Road = (approximate) 42.603539, -75.681231

ace, i think your maps awesome. but, would it not be a normale proceduer to check all adjecent rds, to the phone and van sites?, considerining the cercumstances?
at best they should have been looking for a , lost and cunfused person wondering the woods .

...it was considered that mentioning that Jenn was a Girl Scout Troop leader was "autobiographical info" not pertinent to finding her (or guessing that she met with foul play rather than ran off), but someone might happen to discover the missing Jenn by noting what condiments someone was putting on their hamburger.

When we all look back at the information furnished to the public....it all had a slant or was useless....she ran away....or you need to know about a certain condiment in case you are eating a salad next to her at a fast food restaurant. The important things were left out. What was her actual hair style and color and what shoes was she wearing, what jewelry did she have on? In all that was written about her we never knew the very things that fed her soul...teaching at church, Girl scouts, home health care....these are very very important when figuring out someone's personality. I can't imagine them being classified as being autobiographical. If you read back to the beginning threads not many of us believe she ran off...it was clear her kids meant the world to her, she wouldn't walk out on them. Even the husband said that a week after she went missing.

I know...I'm preaching to the choir...but I've followed Jennifer since she first went missing...and I never ever believed the nonsense that was being fed to the public...I just saw it all as a story being created...

Her family must just be thoroughly frustrated with all that has gone on...and continues....shame on those that should be professional and are anything but.

Honestly Jennifer has had so many injustices to her....and the more some people try to do damage control...they just keep making it worse.

I was thinking, I have seen an amazing picture taken for Jennifer, where a passing snowflake has formed a perfect angel. A quick look convinced me there are loads of places, including msn, that would feature that, if they were free to run the picture with their story.

Does anyone know if it is copyrighted or if the photographer is willing to share? I wish it was mine - I'd be sending the 'Jennifer's angel' everywhere!

That photo I dont think was actually taken for Jennifer but sent to HFJR as something in memory of her since it was posted elsewhere but on the day she was actually found.

I agree though its a gorgeous photo. I do believe they'd need the persons permission to print it.

Oh, I'm so disappointed it wasn't taken for Jennifer. That would have been such a golden, golden opportunity to fill the silence in msn while awaiting those coroner's reports. And especially, in countries with a large, catholic population, like Spain and France.

I mention them because I've had a highly unusual, little flurry of interest on my website from those countries recently, and I'm convinced it's not anything I've done for Bob - I think it's me posting on this thread. Anyway, so glad WS is helping highlight Jennifer's case worldwide;

That was one of the many reasons why we all loved to hear from you. You were an online person that she chatted with and she always was talking about her kids with you. What wife that is trying to "meet" someone online talks about their kids...I mean really...she would have created a persona if that was her intention...instead it sounded like she was just communicating about normal family routines....just so silly that the premise that GR and CC were pushing was so off base....hopefully that all works in the favor of justice...because it was very disparaging.

Lots of people walking the finger lakes trails and surrounding truck trails today. Probably unrelated but you never know what might turn up.

Fwiw family members had searched Center Rd prior but the search was inconclusive and to be searched again later as the snows melted.

i did follow it, i seen the planted seed. i would have called for all hands on deck
1. when her parents said HELL NO she would not have run off,
2. 2 weeks prior to Xmas
3. just prior to her doughters b-day
4 . when i found out more about her by INVESTAGATING!!!!....
nothing about it, indacted she would have run off....and only speaking with a missing womens husband in not an investagation......
and not making the public awear I E .sunday school teacher, girl scout leader,,, and all else, we should have been informed of , is again NOT good LE work!
again with all due respect fox, i dont think we will agree on this .
i lived in chenango county my hole life and yes, i would not call them run ins.........(like im an outlaw?) ......but i have been burglarized, a had a car stolen, a store broke into, personial proprety taken. been vandalized. i have also seen my freinds and family have a need for proffessionail LE assistance,i have seen there efforts first hand. and never been impressed.

You must have some pretty bad luck by the sounds of it.

In reality some are a little harsh on LE here. You really don't know what evidence has been obtained and when which has a lot to do with the flow of information.

And no I have no affiliation with LE.

I think if it were done "for" Jennifer it would lead one to believe it was edited rather than a real occurrence. I will see if I can find out whose photo it was & get permission to use it. If you have a certain site pm me & I'll mention it when I contact them for permission. I think it's a great idea.

It's horrible to suffer from any crime. But, if I had to choose, I would rather LE concentrated on homicides, for example, rather than car thefts or burglary. I am NOT saying burglary or car theft is not traumatic though - far from it. I know some who was burgled and the perps came back three days after the first crime, to pick up the very few valuables they had left behind.

The family were so terrorised, they dropped everything and moved. Just like that. They loved their home.

But there are some crimes that are so horrifying, cause such huge, huge loss and damage.....just everything has to be put aside for them, imo.

ha! I'd heard of bangs but thought they were longer hair that framed the face! Doh.... No wonder I got funny looks when I said I'd had bangs cut into my hair - I'd had the hair round my face layered shorter than the rest but I didn't have a fringe, never have...

Ummm, well, I have a little list in mind, really. Well, not really little. It would have to be a 'free for all' copyright. That would risk someone using it you wouldn't have wanted, but imo, that wouldn't matter.

Is there anybody here who could help out with Spanish? I am fine for French. I wouldn't send out anything representing WS, of course, that's not allowed. Just a simple story about Jennifer and links for further info. Which would include WS. Of course. But could not include ALL the places with info about Jennifer, unfortunately.

Sorry to go on. I'm starting to worry about Jennifer's case being silenced, and when I start to worry, I just can't let go.
