It seems we're all going around in circles here & to no avail. So I'll pose a question(s) I guess if people want to answer, great, maybe we will stumble onto something we haven't fully discussed yet. Maybe others will pose their own as well for the rest of us.

1)How did you hear about Jennifer's case?
2)Have you decided who you think is guilty?
3)What was it initially that made you believe they were?

My answers:
1) Jennifer's poster came across my Facebook feed from the HFJR room. I went there and read what I could. At the time I only knew that she was missing-nothing else.
2) Sadly, I believe it was GR-when I first started reading more on the case was just before the video interview. When I saw the interview, how long it took before one was done & the content. It didn't feel right, I had the feeling from right then, that he was involved.

Anyone else?

1 - I saw a friend tagged in GR's post regarding his missing wife. Found it GR was someone my husband went to school with. Starting keeping tabs on the info on facebook. I then found WS when googling JR's name. I decided to keep on because I wanted to know that this woman was found.

2 - I decided VERY early on who was guilty.

3 - As silly as it may sound, it was my gut that told me. Even before I knew anything personal about the case, I somehow knew who was responsible.

1 I heard it threw a grocery store! Then bought a paper.
2 I do feel i know who did it, i have a very strong opinion on it, because as i heard it threw the grocery store i also heard "she probably ran off with her online boyfriend from florida, and that was said by her BFF/TRYSTER.
3 I believe it was GR do to all his side stepping, and tv interviews, etc. My question all along since i heard of the BFF/TRYSTERS comments to others about JR was what would make her say such a thing about her friend!!!!

I'd just like to say hello to all our many guests again, and say you are very welcome to join us here. Your input would be so welcome. Jennifer needs as many people as possible.

And we don't bite.....okay, maybe a little nip now and then. But you hardly feel a thing. :)

1. Local newspaper, early on, reporting on Jen going missing a couple weeks before Christmas on her way to the mall.
2. Yes, very early on.
3. A) The statisically unlikely scenario presented of a mother up and leaving her kids, especially around Christmas, daughter's Christmas concert, daughter's birthday; B) husband giving up hope that she's alive within a week of her disappearance, C) phone being found by husband the next day, without him calling the police first, despite his stated belief that criminal activity was likely; D) van being found abandoned in an obvious place, where there are other places that would make more sense for a stranger abductor to abandon her van; E) husband's early pleas for the public NOT to search for his wife; and F) husband's failure to plea via the media for her return, when he said she might have left to meet an online lover

1: I am FB friends with one of Jen's cousins. I saw her missing poster and immediately thought "may have changed her hair color" was odd.

2: I have not decided as I don't have all of the facts, but I strongly lean toward one (or two) people.

3: finding the phone without police presence, comments made about Jen's mental state and comments about the children not missing her, relaxed demeanor during televised interviews, notably his lack of pleading and emotion, being opposed to searching by the public, constant FB presence, appearing to be manipulative with information about Jen's traits & preferences, an over involvement with a missing persons organization, such as many phone calls and very personal information being shared, finding lingerie while on the phone with a missing persons org. and thinking that was something LE should know about, lighthearted comments left on the psychic tarot reading page soon after Jen went missing which have since been removed, not publicly searching himself, deleting most of Jen's FB, an over abundance of interviews given immediately after learning of his wife's death, constant companionship with a woman he's been accused (accused = she denies it) of having an affair with.

MOO.

Sharon - you are referring to the following question from Janeumayer and my response to her question back in early March. Please keep it in context.

THIS business.
I wasn't referring to ALL business's tapes in and around Chenango County.

I hope that clarifies.

Jillian,
I really didn't mean this as a dig directed toward you. I had read this as being about multiple businesses and I was thinking that maybe LE hasn't been all that thorough and too much faith had been put into what they had gathered from the community.

No disrespect meant to LE either. I'm skeptical about everything, it's why I'm here on WS...

Again, my apologies.

I can't even remember how i heard about this case. I have been extremely close to several cases over the past few years here and not attached to others at all. Some just speak to me, like Celina Cass, Sierra LaMar, Shantina Smiley and the one that tortured me the most was Tanya Shannon. I don't know what links these cases for me, but i feel a connection.

This case spoke to me when i heard GR's comments. It took me 10 seconds to know he did it and 3 months of reading every post every day detailing the sickening developments of his lies and cheating to make me crazy waiting for justice. Its all in the gut with me.

Now that we know at least one local cctv camera wasn't checked by LE, I'm starting to worry again that LE may not be aware of the facility IBM employees have, to delete info on their mobile devices remotely, that I posted about upthread. Also, I asked if we knew if Jennifer's phone was registered to her or hubby. If it was him, it might mean he could have remotely deleted her info too.

Can any geeks help me out here?

Can you clarify this? I'm trying to think of what you could be referring to. I know the apple app "Find my phone" allows for this but doesn't apply to just IBM employees. I can do that to any idevices registered to any apple ID I know the username & password for. Which leads to your question-no matter who the phone is registered to, (being that GR forced her to quit her job I'm thinking its to him), even if she had a separate apple ID, as long as he knew the password he could access it. He could then delete any info off of it using that app. However you can also easily replace it using the app & iCloud from a PC with that same account info.

One thing he could do with his IBM phone-should he have a work phone(not all do) is delete emails. But anyone can do that with their phones. Having a close friend that works at IBM, I've been told they don't have any other specific functions than a regular user. But it could be helpful to have 2 separate phones if you had that perk at work.

I'm a bit out of my depth here, but I found a trade article that I posted upthread about some 'security' issues that had given IBM a little start. The article said that, as a result, IBM had continued to allow employees to use private devices for work, but had introduced very special measures (just for IBM) that allowed info to be deleted REMOTELY from those devices, in the event they were lost, stolen, etc.

No idea how the system works works. If employees can do it themselves or have to go through IT dept.

But it could mean GR MIGHT have had the facility to delete msgs from his and Jennifer's mobiles, while they were sitting in the police department. Will go back and get my link and bump it.

And if they were deleted via a huge business, rather than a single user, would they be harder to detect? I don't know. Am sooooo out of my depth here.

My BFF here's hubby is the top guy...no higher than him at IBM here in Thailand. We are spending spring break with them in Khao Lak and Phuket. Unfortunately he works insane hours and I might not see him before then....seriously, but I am planning to pick his brain. They live across the street and our kids are best friends (same exact ages), but I rarely get to see him at home even though his kids live at my house and mine theirs. When I get back I'll look at these IBM posts closer...not sure he could add any more than what we can find on our own.

Edited to say...oh my gosh just realized Songkran is so far away..april 11-12??. I see my friend every single day so ill talk to her sooner of course just in case there's anything that can help lead us to another clue...

Just to try and clarify a little bit further - what I wanted to know was if LE could DETECT deletions that might have occured through IBM, rather than a private user?

I bet there's an easier way to find my own posts but I've got it at last. Here's the link to the article I read that got me worried. if I'm all out of the loop and everyone's got this already, sorry. Worth a little worry about, for Jennifer.

ETA It is at the link within the post.

Just to try and clarify a little bit further - what I wanted to know was if LE could DETECT deletions that might have occured through IBM, rather than a private user?

I think this is a big what if from what I'm reading here. But let's assume it was done. First it could only be for the IBM related device-GRs not JRs. GR would also need to call IBMs IT & give them reason enough to go out & delete "IBM Sensitive" data. Lets say he does call & has data taken off his IBM phone-that IT person is going to see what it is and the call is logged in his name, date, time & detail of issue. If he did do this, it's easily traceable. But he wouldn't be able to do this on JRs phone because she isn't connected to their network.

What precedes all of this is the big question-did he even have an IBM paid phone? Not all employees do. Here in the US it's a dept by dept basis. Each case decided based on needs. IF he did, LE could contact IBM & ask for his activity the day Jen went missing, (or any other day needed) and have IT logs included. Maybe you should email Lt Cobb this article & just state if GR has an IBM work phone it's worth checking. To me just having the 2 is worth looking at both logs.

after reading this post , it occured to me that i know were there are camers on 23!!!!!! at the south plymouh bridge trailer park.... i just spoke with the manager of the park.. he said he is going to go over the video recording... he said it does go back atleast 2 months.... i hoping longer....!!! also he said no one ever asked around the trailer park for eyewitnesses ... he is going to call me asap:rocker: the trailer park is about half way between the phone and van site...........and the cameras can be seen from the BRIDGE or rd

Good on you, CJ!!!! to the super sleuth!!

Even tho this particular lead didn't pan out, it's the kinda thinking we need.

Truth will prevail!!!

i think this manager is quite the idiot if he had potential evidence all along and didn't think to, oh, i don't know - pass it on to LE?

"well no one asked for it. guess i'll let 'er keep on recordin'...."

really?

i'm losing faith in humanity a little more each day.

:waiting:

Well, let's remember that for a long time most people in Chenango County -- if they heard about Jenn missing at all -- simply assumed she'd just run off. That's what I thought (until I watched the video).

Also, let's remember that most of the ordinary citizens out there have not been following this story closely, or, if they are, may only be following what is reported in the media, and probably are not aware of the probable route that the killer took from dumping the body to where the van was left.

I still have faith in humanity. I think we just sometimes need to jog humanity's awareness and memory.

On a fun note -- busted out laughing at your impression Jillian -- but oh so true!

On a serious note -- is there a way to get Joe Mahoney to do another article? To keep Jen's name active... Would he be allowed to use the overlapping circle chart (for lack of better words) in his article and maybe people's minds would be jogged? It is factual in that it shows the places where all items and Jen were found... Would he be able to post a plea in his article to ask people to come forward instead of just saying to call the LE if know of something. Maybe need to add more words in the plea saying 'even if you don't think it's important or think it's trivial, the LE wants to hear it'... something along those lines? Like you have all mentioned -- people may not realize they hold a key to this puzzle. Maybe Joe reads this site and will start the article process? Pleeeeeeeease??????? :please:

Yes, precisely. I think it would also be good to post a map showing the route from where the Jenn's body was dumped, to where her phone was found, to where the van was found. I know it's on the circle chart, but I'm thinking about a closer-in map with the roads clearly listed, and then asking if anyone noticed anything that day (or in the several days before the van was found) or happens to have webcams along that route to please contact the LE tip line.
