Could his eyebrows be groomed/waxed or just emphasizing that are very thin?

His eyelids appear heavy to me as in I think he's on the older side (40s).

The "pants puller" (left sketch) has thinner brows, thinner nose. He looks hispanic or middle eastern, Definitely not a black male. IMO.
The person Le would like to speak to from Spring Creek (right sketch) is said to be a black male.

Bed Stuy attempted rapist appears to have thick, though waxed or groomed eyebrows.

Also, Bed Stuy perp is estimated to be on the shorter side: 5' 6" - 5' 7" versus HB witness sketch of 5' 10" height.

Appear to have video of the Bed Stuy perp which also leads me to believe if NYPD believed the two were the same individual they would release that info.

Completely different people, IMO. Look at the nose.

I don't know how to post a picture on here, but if you look up Morningside Heights subway rape there's a sketch done of the suspect and it looks an awful lot like the sketch of the Spring Creek guy

I also think the crimes are very different.

One is a vicious rape and murder on an isolated path in the day. The other, if I recall correctly, is pulling the pants and running away while on the sidewalk at night.

Perhaps I have the pants-puller mixed up with someone else, but I just can't see the guy who attacked Karina as someone who would pull down pants and flee.

Too different, two different.

OF COURSE, the guy wanted in Karina's case is not necessary the perp - LE is definitely saying it could be someone who was simply in the area and might have seen something that will be useful to LE. So, comparing a witness to a wanted perp is also something we need to be cautious about.

jmOPINION, with what we know now.

Hmm....I will try to find a link.

Morningside Heights - I assume you mean the Manhattan neighborhood by Columbia University?

Has there been any discussion about why the killer didn't use the nearby water to their advantage? Is the water quite a walking distance from where poor Karina was found? Does it possibly show lack of planning on killers part or that they were rushed?

This may help.

The Morningside Heights attempted rapist pulled pants and fled, so I have to qualify my statement here.

Pulling pants with an attempt to rape is different than pulling pants as the end goal.

But.....

But.....

Maybe he fled because she started screaming? Maybe he planned on raping. IDK. Lots of maybe's.

Maybe they found wool fibers on her under her nails?
Strangely enough I do see people wearing heavy coats and wool hates on 90 degree days. I do NOT get it., Some addicts that live on the street dress heavily.

It was reported that man in the sketch was not a witness to the murder.

Kemberly Richardson, Eyewitness News, ABC 7,
"reports the NYPD released a sketch of a man they want to speak with in the Howard Beach jogger murder."

'LE stresses he is not a suspect nor a person of interest.'

"The man in the sketch, who they say did not witness the murder, can fill in some of the blanks."

[...]

"If he recognizes himself in the sketch

to please come forward,

to help with this investigation."

Thank you so much, MotheroffourBoys, for all your help.

Sorry to keep quoting myself, folks! I'm thinking aloud here.

Person in Karina's sketch is 5'10, medium build.

Person in Morningside Heights attempted rape in 2014 is 6', 250 pounds.

Seems like a big difference to me, but perhaps not.

The sketches look a lot alike to me. Could be same person, could be coincidence, could be someone who has seen the 2014 sketch???

Another similarity is the attacks were both during the same time of day, though in different locations (subway vs. park and Manhattan vs. Queens).

Locals, is Karina's location near the B/C line??

Right. I think the Morningside Heights subway pants-puller is a rapist. The other guy we were talking about above (the other sketch guy, with the narrow nose) is also a pants puller, but seems of a different sort.

There are two pants pullers we're talking about.....how gross is that.

I DO see similarities with the Morningside Heights pants puller, but not with Narrow Nose pants puller.

sigh.

The "other pants puller"...sick world!

LE may NOT be revealing what they found. I've followed cases before requesting to speak to someone and they claim they are not the suspect but end up charging them.
If they did find wool fibers they may want to talk to this guy asap.

Great find. He looks identical to the sketch in Karina's case. Since this sketch was 2 years ago its quite possible he doesnt weigh as much now.

"sources tell CBS New York they have expanded their search to East New York, Brooklyn, which borders part of the park. Boyce said Wednesday investigators aren’t sure whether the person depicted in the sketch was heading into East New York."

"Police are questioning known sex offenders in the area and people who have previously gotten tickets for trespassing in the park as they try to drum up more solid leads in the case, the station reports."

Police were able to compile the sketch based on the recollections of a worker at the north end of the park who said he was startled by the appearance of the unknown man as he left the park along a bike and jogging trail near the Belt Parkway, the official said.

“A worker in the area said he spotted a guy,” the official said. The worker was surprised to see the man and for a moment thought he was going to be mugged, the official said.

By Rick Rojas, The New York Times,

“We want to speak with this person because we feel he was there,” Robert K. Boyce, the New York Police Department’s chief of detectives, told reporters. “I’d never want to tell you he’s wanted for this crime, because he’s not. We have no evidence to say that.”
[...]
Based on video evidence, investigators do not believe the actual assailant fled the scene into Howard Beach. Instead they think he either went north into Queens or crossed over into Brooklyn.

"investigators have received more than 80 tips; all but about nine of them have been vetted,..."

Ravaged by a drug addiction, alcoholism or disease.

The HB guy looks like the Morningside Heights's guy's father. IMO
