A ex boyfriend doesn't rape you during a jog. Jmo.

It's usually that they conive their way for one last meet to talk.

Then the murder happens in the car or house when the ex feels that their will still be no hope for a reconciliation. Jmo.

But you folks are right as well.

Where as the ex could and would stage it to look like a rape.

So. Idk. It could be a jilted lover or stalker or whatever.

But since folks are saying that LE has dna. Then I doubt a ex was involved.

I can't stand reading comments where they say how the mother "is too much" and using horrible language. I would be using waaaaay worse words.

Agreed! She is a very strong lady, you can just see the determination in her when you look at her and hear her speak. At the Trail of Tears walk, she spoke beautifully about how all of us being there was helping the family to heal. She talked about how wonderful LE has been to them and how hard they are working. She is a well spoken lady who tells it like it is!!

As we have seen with how hard it is to find her killer, this is a perfect place to do so. Car, house, etc all easy ways to have evidence left behind.

Why so? It can be any ex in her lifetime. LE would have to to find every person she was ever in a relationship. The only one they have questioned, or that we are aware of,is her most recent boyfriend who she broke up with 2 days prior to her murder.

They do have DNA.

They did say they have DNA but I was thinking maybe there was no semen found and that's why she is picking those things to say to emasculate him.

Oh man, I really hope that is true.

I know cases often take a long to time solve, but I don't want to pull out my patience for this one.

jmo

I agree, the level of brutality of this attack. He needs to be caught asap.

Agree. But this is Queens, Ny that we are talking about and not Monticello or something.

So whom knows.

So imo. The police should look at the closest ones to her.

But with such a big city that's known for danger. Then they shouldn't waste too much time. Jmo.

Now I know that Queens has nice isolated areas thats not in the actual inner Queens. But still. Queens ny is Queens ny.

So hopefully LE doesn't spend too much time on simply looking at all males in her life.

Because this says it could be a total outsider that lives in Queens. Jmo.

I say go mom. she is dealing by being angry. eventually if she goes through her stages of grief, she finds her way.

I don't.

I believe she may be attempting to psychologically castrate the monster and publicly emasculate him.

Father has a different approach.

And I live in Queens about 3 miles from her murder. This park was a perfect spot for her killer to do this horrible crime. That is why I think it's someone who knows no one frequents that part of Spring Creek so no one will walk in on the crime happening.

Yes alpha male I think too....and one who thought he deserved to own her. I don't think she felt a personal connection to him, but I think he felt a personal connection to her....as in "I can't have you, no one can".

If she was with a business man in Europe, perhaps this perp runs in the same circles as this person and was incrediy jealous that someone else was with her.

Maybe be was jealous.
I feel like it's someone who had a troubled childhood and hates women.

The older I get, the more I believe jogging is one of the most dangerous things a woman can do. So many women are targeted while jogging. :(
I think being vulnerable is dangerous. Unfortunately it can't always be avoided.

I agree, I think they need something solid to tie him to the crime so that it's not just circumstantial evidence.

It might be the case that they have forensic evidence, but the more physical evidence they have, the more likely it is that they will get the conviction they're hoping for. And that requires a good amount of physical evidence (maybe more than they have now), timelines, proof that he may have lied about his alibi, crime scene re-creation, etc. It's very extensive and for good reason.

It seems like the parents are trying to get a confession, which would seal his fate and could be the most important piece of evidence they could get. However, it's a very long shot, even if they are tempting him with money. On the other hand, if they have his DNA, he will probably be caught soon with the parents' reward deal or without. Although, police have to have probable cause to get his DNA sample in the first place or go through his trash.

With DNA, I see the possible outcomes being...
1) He is caught and gets life in prison, reward goes to charity or memorial fund
2) He turns himself in and gets life in prison, money goes to family member of choice
3) He turns himself in and gets life in prison, donates money (unlikely)
4) He is caught eventually when he slips up and commits another crime that puts his DNA in the system
5) He never recommits a crime and isn't caught (the most unlikely)

Let me know when you look at the scanner feed. I was questioning something there and didn't get a response from anyone. We can't talk about it here so maybe if you see my post there, just let me know if you see what I saw.

I think he'll be caught. But some form of street justice will happen while in jail awaiting trial.

Right?! She's talking about someone who brutally attacked and murdered her DAUGHTER! I think she was pretty mild with her language, in this context.

Would be great if all that family is saying is what LE is telling them....

In murder cases the police don't typically tell the family much of anything in my experience - especially if they have strong leads. There is too much danger in details getting around. Maybe different here I don't know. JMO But if they were the ones that went to LE with the information then they would obviously already have the info.

I'm pretty sure they have, or are working on questioning every single man they can find that she's been involved with, or intimate with.

I agree. But in my experience, they did say they were pretty sure they had the suspect. And they said some things about him, but no identifying details.

I really hope not.

Personally, street and prison justice make me sick.

Saw an interview with her father who made a point of stating his daughter Karina would absolutely never, never approve of such a thing.

I agree. Justice can be served without further violence.

But...I would really love to read that the perp has been arrested. BAM! Just like that. I don't need any more sleuthing around here - just want to see the perp caught, and soon.
