Karinas parents could very well be playing the "we know who you are" card in hopes of drawing them out. Maybe they don't have any info and are trying to use this tactic. Just a thought.

They did specifically mention a sister though, which makes it seems like they really do know who. I wonder if the sister gave a false alibi

And the appeal to the perp to turn himself in and give the reward money goes along with this scenario - it would be a good thing, they are saying, to help your sister out. Perhaps she has a child, is younger, or dependent on the brother - someone who could use the reward money while he is in prison.

That's a tough request to make to someone.

But it also means the perp is probably not a homeless person, but someone who lives with family and who has access to hear the plea.

I hope the sister realizes that turning in a brother, though difficult, is the best thing to do for EVERYONE....especially the next victim. Don't let there be another victim.

I agree. Justice can be served without further violence.

But...I would really love to read that the perp has been arrested. BAM! Just like that. I don't need any more sleuthing around here - just want to see the perp caught, and soon.

Perhaps, their strategy will work. In the very least, they are keeping Karina and the search for justice alive in the media.

One can see where the daughter's determination and love of life were nurtured

They may know or may not, if they've heard things thru the grapevine I guess I'm just thinking they are using a reverse psychology approach to drawing him out. Jmo

You misread my comment I think. Not sure where your comment comes from? Never said she had no boyfriends. You said her ex checked out. I said she probably had more than 1 boyfriend, so there are many exes that should be looked at. =)

Sounds like she had ID on herself, they know she's not from the area. Sigh. I've lived in Queens my whole 33 years of life and never have heard so much horrible things happening as I have lately.

I dont think they released anything about her yet..other than she wasn't from the area that she was dumped. Thats it that *I* am aware of. JMO. Someone else can post otherwise if they know?

Unfortunately, I believe these monsters have always been here.

We've been lowering sentences for drug offenses, let's increase it for those guilty of sexual offenses where females and children are commonly the primary victims.

I'd love to see separate prisons to house them all.

I'm an old native New Yorker now and I don't have enough digits to count the number of times men (total strangers) have felt it was okay to expose themselves, touch me etc in my lifetime!

Oh, and males need to be educated from an early age, that this ^^ is not okay
