Time to use Ancestry.com and/or 23andMe to DNA search? I saw this mentioned on Vanessa's thread, it would also apply here if a court order could be made.

But who is the court order made out to?!

When I submitted my DNA to Ancestry.com (and I haven't just using this as an example), I was paying them to check my ancestry. I would expect that any remaining DNA be destroyed. It was never meant to nor should it be used to compare against an unknown perp.

I don't mind that they check for heritage markers on a unk perp's DNA but that's it.

It's alot like Texas having one of your hands fingerprinted in order to get a d.l. This was b.s. and the practice was discontinued. They now only print one finger.

I can't recall what case this was but I do remember being incensed about it. Now, if they have my fingerprints and/or DNA because I've committed a crime..than so be it. Compare away.

I don't know who 23 and Me is but if Ancestry.com is selling someone's DNA without their permission or knowledge, I believe they're opening themselves up for a HUGE fraud case which will end in the demise of their company.

Not sure if there would be anything in MSM about this but I know the FBI was brought in on this because of the area this took this girls life in. Sorry if I can't use that phrasing here but..I know that LE is going to keep info to a minimum here. With that being said and without causing TOS issues can anyone from the area confirm if they are still active on the case? Or is it just NYPD out there still??

I'm not sure if the FBI is actively investigating, but the NYPD is all I saw over the weekend. They're making patrols through the weeds which is something they should continue until (or if) they clear those weeds

I just saw this and I'm sleuthing away. Mapmyrun is searchable for anyone who tracks there runs in the area and is set to public view. I've been scooping this out from day 1 but haven't found anything in spring creek itself. Some runs along the outside of the park though, mostly females. Unfortunately can't link anything here because no one is a poi.

I was wondering if anyone has found out where Karina worked recently? Its mentioned she worked at Vetro but their FB said she worked there is 2015. Just wondering if she had anything to do with the Place Lennys Clam Bar that is mentioned in the post below.

I'd be surprised if there is a connection at this point. It just doesn't fit with the MO of the LISK at all (and I say LISK because the detective in the AC case said he was sure the two cases are related). Also AC claimed to have DNA in their case, they tested it against Terry Oleson. If it did match that could explain the FBI being brought in, but I don't think that's the case.
