It's hard to tell, but he seems younger than Karina's sketch (not that the sketch in Karina's case is necessarily the suspect, I understand.)

The article says the victim met the perp at the subway station. I was thinking that he noticed her on the train and then followed her off. Maybe not?

Whatever the case, I do wish her well. What a horrific experience.

Omg I must of missed that part!!! I only read she didn't know her attacker, but that means nothing if in fact she really didn't know him but still met up with him! I was wondering how they knew his age to be 25 and not "20-30 yrs old"

I'm just chilled by this. I hope this 15 yr old has all the support she needs. Please Momoffourboys, if you come across any way for the public to help her with this ordeal, let me know, without compromising her ID.

Working on tweaking the video caps. His gloves seem to be of the kind that has the grip surface If he's done this before could he have more than one pair of these? Seems to have many layers on as it is hard to make out his body counters in high contrast, but not sure. Besides the heavy bag, packed with what, I wonder? Could he be from out of town and planning to change back into work clothes, so clothes, shoes, computer, chargers, bike helmet? He would only have one bag, though. Would the strap help ID the kind of bag?

A Daily News article this morning said she was "returning home from a friend's house". Strange. At 4:30 am.

A good Samaritan found the teen on the side of the Bronx River Parkway, near the river, and took her to Montefiore Medical Center, police sources said.

The girl was coming home from visiting friends on Staten Island and emerged from the No. 2 train station at Gun Hill Road in Williamsbridge at about 4 a.m., authorities said. That’s when her attacker accosted her.

Hmm this article is from Oct 19th, noted in article man was wearing a grey hoodie...this perp in the video wanted for the 15yr old sexual and brutal assault has grey hoodie too.

I have always thought that KV's murder was not a random event, and that she was targeted. I think someone who first saw her at the house she lived in became obsessed with her. That house was also the site of her father's business. This murder could also have been a form of spite/resentment towards PV. FWIW and jmo

Why would LE say otherwise, though? Wouldn't they know more than us, and would PV of all people then know exactly instead of tormenting himself with every obscure lead, the trolls info, etc?

PV is irritated that LE isn’t showing him the entire GoPro video recorded shortly before KV entered the park.

Seems a natural way to go for both sides on this, without it raising any suspicion toward this being something aimed at PV. Maybe you're right, that it may be somebody who fixated or was obsessed with Karina, by circumstance or location. As WS is to support the families of victims, I don't see any reason to take that leap. My heart goes out to her family and dear friends, without a doubt.

If you follow other threads, it's not rare for investigation to go through that stress phase without it being a reflection on the intent of the crime. I recall the radiant Morgan Harrington's dad stating something about every family, every person having their own way of dealing with it, and ultimately no correct template. It has to be hell going through this in all cases though for those closest to her.
