So something to ponder Lutricia Steele went missing from schenectady NY in May 2008 her husband works in Amsterdam the same city Kellisue went missing from. DO not know if there is a link but due to a strange turn of events I felt compelled to put this out there

Vigil this Sunday September 30, 2012

Meet at Rite Aid Market St. Amsterdam, NY 9:45pm-( time Kelli left work 4 years ago).

We will sit in our cars for 10 minutes before exiting parking lot @ 9:55pm (Kellisue sat in her car for 10 minutes alone).

We will make the drive back to Frog Hollow, West Montgomery in Johnstown, NY the site where Kelli’s car was found burning.

There will be a short candle lit vigil and a prayer.

We are also encouraging everyone to place a purple ribbon on your car or home in honor of Kellisue and domestic violence awareness.

After 6 years we are still at square one. As the years go we stay filled with hope. Giving up, is not an option. We will remember Kellisue each year, we will celebrate her life, and accomplishments. JOHNSTOWN — Kellisue Ackernecht’s disappearance has puzzled the Johnstown Police Department for 16 years.

Ackernecht's 1998 Saturn Aura was found burning on West Madison Avenue and Chestnut Street in Johnstown, a place locals know as “Frog Hollow,” on Oct. 1, 2008.

Ackernecht, who was 35 at the time and living in Johnstown, was last seen at 9:30 p.m. the day before at Rite Aid on Market Street in Amsterdam, where she worked. The store's two cameras at the front entrance of the store were not working because the store was being remodeled.

“She had already made plans with the manager of the store to grab McDonald's, which was right across the street there in Amsterdam, for breakfast. But she never showed up,” said Johnstown Police Chief David Gilbo, who recently discussed the case on an episode of "The Richard Giardino Show" with the Fulton County sheriff.

Around 9:35 p.m. on Sept. 30, 2008, Kellisue Ackernecht locked the doors and shut the lights at the Amsterdam Rite Aid where she worked as a shift supervisor. She walked out into the parking lot with a female coworker before they parted ways to their cars. According to police, that coworker was the last person to see Kellisue.

She never returned home. Instead, around 1:58 a.m. on Oct. 1, 2008 police found a burning car near an area known as ‘Frog Hollow’ in Johnstown.''

Police are on scene at a Johnstown apartment building located on West Main St. in connection to the 2008 missing person case of Kellisue Ackernecht, according to her daughter Ashley.

Ashley was alerted by police Monday, that a search would be conducted just after noon of a property Ashley tells CBS6 she can see from her window.

Crews including cadaver dogs and forensics teams were searching the outside of the building, and inside in the common areas, including the basement.
