Thank you all for your heartfelt posts to Little Kenneth's threads. I've spent a long day between campuses with my girls watching them sing their hearts out on their last day before Christmas break. It was a day filled with hidden tears as I've kept up here, reading your updates :tears:

I still haven't been able to reconcile my heart and mind with all that transpired last night. :no: I am the first to admit I fell for the lies this monster told, wanting to believe her crazy story, searching for and listening to several different feeds, trying to find a nonexistent needle in a haystack that wasn't ever there. :hearno: I am very angry tonight as I try to process the ugly truth of what really happened to this innocent little child in that trailer. He likely thought he was safe. The reality is, there was no safe place for Little Kenneth, and that is so wrong that I can't even begin to find the words....



His beautiful smile will never be seen again. He will never see another sunrise, get to grow up, go to prom, get married, have a family, fulfill all the promise and potential he deserved as a child of God, because of the heinous act of his own family member!

I kept thinking, "It should have been him up there today!" singing with his classmates, laughing and lighting up the world....

Instead, we mourn his violent exit from this earth. Tonight, I shed tears, for Little Kenneth, and his cohort of victims. There are far too many of them, and I know there will be more.

It's a damn disgrace! These children have been failed from the start. The mother had numerous children (I heard 10) taken off her. The dad has other children living with him, but not these three and it looks as if his access to these children was restricted by family members, however he was not given custody of them and there must be a reason why. But why on earth place these children in an "unsafe environment" just smacks of irresponsibility with CPS. If the trailer was unfit for the children to live there then the aunt should never have had the children given to her. Surely it would have been better if these children had been given up for adoption. Sorry if this sounds like a rant but yet another poor baby has been killed and it could have been prevented!

Do we know if OCS was involved in placing these children with these extended family members? Having worked with school children and their families, many caregivers have a notarized statement from the parent(s) and no OCS involvement in opening a case/investigation.

Lit a candle for little Kenneth White, tonight. Still not willing to accept his unconscionable death, the most of what I know of his life. May his little sisters and bother live lives that he would want for them.

I light one for Caylee Anthony, twice a day, in the Light A Candle for Caylee thread. That case broke my heart.

Early on Thursday, Tiffany VanAlstyne, her mother, the 18-year-old man and all three children went to a doctor's office, stopped at a Price Chopper to fill a prescription and arrived back at the trailer at around 12:45 p.m., Apple said. He said Tiffany VanAlstyne and the three children went back into the trailer; her mother and the 18-year-old man went to drop off gifts at a school.

Apple said at about 1:10 p.m., Brenda VanAlstyne got a call from her daughter about the supposed kidnapping. Her mother told her, "Call the police!"

So, while they went out to try and make other children's holiday better, one of the children they were in charge of protecting was murdered by someone in their own home. Talk about cognitive dissonance.

If i did the area would sell out of kleenex, not a dry eye around! Similar to other battles we have fought we will be looking for ways to make "the system" better. I feel like we failed this child and it has our full attention. Again thank you all for your kind words and also thank the NYSP, FBI, US MARSHALLS, and certainly our District Attorney. In a couple of hours we will be hosting a party for over 200 children at our Clarksville Station that is what this season could be about."

I hope little Kenneth's death will save the lives of his siblings, every last one. Based on the little eyes, faces, and lack of smiles on a collage of the kiddos on one of his mother's Facebook cover photos, these kids have had no chance up until now. I hope Kenneth has helped paved the way to a better life for them.

Oh wow, Thanks for sharing. This sounds like what all of us has been thinking. The system of family services? The system of registered sex offenders? Which system? All systems? I fear all the children were victims of a lot more than a dirty house .
