Or it was hit by a car. Or thrown from one.

I think this part could be VERY important. If one of these DOT employees put that sticker on, they could have a lot of info. Wonder if they remember a man or woman being around the car, or if they spoke to someone or just assumed the owner of the vehicle would be back. Hopefully they remember all of that AND when they put that sticker on the car.

I read 6:30AM

Here is the link to see Lucas Bean - 4th one down:

If you look at his friends - Leah Hirshel Walsh is one of them. She has no pic on her facebook.

I def think the husband has said to much and will be easily caught in this one. Such a shame, another young life lost to domestic violence. I am going on the assumption this is her body.

totaly OT - but Lucas is pretty hot :blowkiss:

This is where I get stumped. Surely if it was the husband he must have helped, unless he was following her and somehow got her to pull over and then he killed her right off the highway...not likely imo.
I wonder if he was a member at that country club?

I would bet real money that he was not a member of that country club. North Hills CC is swanky, surrounded by really expensive homes.

Leah's car was found about 2+ miles away from their apartment. He easily could have walked home after dumping the car.

Here's what I think happened: they had a fight, he killed her sometime between Saturday night and Monday morning, put her body in the woods by the expressway (really dumb, imo!), drove to where he left the car and then walked/ran home.

ETA: how far was the car found from the husband's house?

They live on Marbourne Rd in Bethpage and the car was found by Exit 9 on the Seaford-Oyster Bay Exwy (Rte 135). Mapquest directions: about 2.66 mi.

Oh this is not looking good for the husband. 2 miles fromt he apartment... hope I'm wrong but this looks like the husband is really guilty.

I know it says Stephanie. i compared the pic of the girl on the myspace to the pic on the news site and they look like the same person. she's 29, in Beth page NY, and come up under Walsh. Stephanie could be her middle name.

mmm... well, Stephanie is holding a baby, too, and looks like she's on a family vacation, possibly Hershey? She also looks a little older than Leah.

Leah's middle initial is B.

Let's see, hubby with a taste for gambling, driving missing wife's sweet ride, because she decided to drive the boring black Ford Focus with the bad tires on the day she went missing.

If I had a cool yellow Mustang convertible, I'd be driving it to work every day.

I'll be interested to find out:

* When was the last time someone other than Hubby saw her alive?

* What is their financial situation? Does he have a job?

* Is she pregnant?

* Where and when did their cell phones ping, and did he text her back ?

* Does he have any un-explained scratches or bruises?

If she pulled of the freeway with a flat tire at 6:30 Monday morning, someone should have seen her. How close was she to an exit, or intersection?

If I had a flat, I'd try to pull over in a brightly lit or very conspicuous area. Was her car in a place where it was hard for other motorists to see it?

Susan

No way she wasn't seen - this is almost rush hour as people head ot work on a monday morning - i know this highway. Someone would have seen her.

I think the car was placed there during the cover of night.

Scratch that then. I had not read anything with a middle initial. I couldn't find anything on myspace for her, her husband, or her friend Bean

Local news here has no new REAL information tonight.

Here's what they said today:
The body IS a female, white
The body can't be easily identified
The body has been there more than 24 hours.

It leads me to believe that there has been decomposition or some type of trauma/interference with the body.

News also said that the husband is still out handing out flyers and they are still searching for Leah.

Crocodile tears and fake pleas? I agree. :waitasec: Wouldn't you look into the camera and ask your wife to come home if you believed she was still alive? With no ransom note, how could he decide that she had been kidnapped???

The picture of her husband reminds me of Brad Cooper - something about the coldness/lack of emotion in the eyes...? Can't put my finger on it. JMHO.
