ylime11 -- it seems he used the Focus to dump her body off the Expressway very early Monday morning then left the Focus on the side of the road (after letting air out of the tire) on the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway approx 2 to 3 miles from their house, and walked home. Once home, he then grabbed her purse and a bag of lunch leftover from Friday and drove his yellow car back to where the Focus was parked, threw her purse in the bush and planted the lunch bag in the car. It was then that the highways guy came by and saw him run, crouched down, from the Focus, to the yeallow car, get into the yelllow car and drive away. Thus, no accomplice was needed.

Thanks Penelope! Makes sense now. This guy is trash.

I received a phone call last night from a friend who said they're looking into one of his brothers as an accomplice to disposal of the body. I don't want to say more than that because it is all heresay at this point. Basically, a rumor.

I'm not a rumormonger and I like to be thorough before I make a statement. :) Now you know why I was a little exclusive yesterday.

Leah Walsh worked as Howard Stern radio intern in 1999

In a radio interview with Howard Stern nearly a decade ago, a 20-year-old intern named Leah Hirschel spoke candidly about her hard luck with men.

Those haunting words echoed over the airwaves again Monday when the star disc jockey replayed an excerpt from his conversation with the woman now known as Leah Walsh, the slain schoolteacher whose husband is charged with murder in her death.

Murder defendant William Walsh Jr.'s younger brother tried to sneak into the Nassau County jail Monday while the facility was closed to visitors and wound up getting arrested, police said.

Thomas Walsh, 26, of Farmingdale, went to the jail after he left Nassau County Court in Mineola, where his brother was not present for a short conference in his murder case, police said. William Walsh Jr. is charged with killing his wife, Leah Walsh.

How nice for the parents of these men. Now they can have matching mug shots for the Christmas family news letter they can send out to family and friends.

Leah Walsh Buried as Reports of Abuse Continue to Come In

This morning in Rockville Center, the funeral was held for Leah Walsh, the Long Island teacher murdered by her husband earlier this week. A neighbor told Newsday that every seat was filled in the ceremony that was followed by her burial in Pinelawn. Those in attendance did not include the family of William Walsh, the man being kept in solitary after being arrested for the murder of his wife. Today's Post explores the history of the couple, painting an ugly picture of Leah living in fear of her hard drinking and sometimes violent husband who cops say "slapped around and publicly humiliated (her) as he bedded other women." Neighbors say that police had to visit the Walshes' home more than once, but that Leah never pressed charges against her husband.

She either believed in the good of other people or was too scared to press charges or leave him sooner. :(

I mentioned more info coming soon... I heard something today and before I even speculate, I need to make this connection first.

I know that William has a brother named Tom and a sister named Virginia. But:

Can anyone help me find out if William Walsh is related to a Richard Walsh (and also tell me Richard's age)? I am curious, and if any of you subscribe to those people searches, I'd appreciate you looking it up for me. Some of you know William Walsh's Bethpage address... I don't remember where exactly but it's in a post and an article somewhere.

Thank you, this is very important.

I delved into this and I did not see a Richard associated with any of the names.

Father William. Brothers Stephen and Thomas. Sister Virginia. Mother possibly Denyse. Grandmother Peggy Ann.

I don't think so. This is Thomas:

On a different note... think of how the Walsh brothers' parents must feel? Two sons locked up, one for murder?!? Wouldn't want to be in their shoes. Of course, it pales in comparison to how Leah's family feels, but - as a mother - it was just a thought I had...
