Your question about cell phones prompted me to think on them again. This was probably discussed before:

3 years before Shannan disappeared, Maureen Brainard-Barns disappeared on July 9 2007. The following year there was one cell-phone ping from a Long Island tower, a few miles from Gilgo Beach where someone tried to access her voice mail.

Then Melissa Barthelemy disappeared July 12 2009, and we have the cell phone calls to the sister that ended in August 2009. Melissa's abusive bf/pimp said she was really tight with the "older white guy from LI" and she would go to LI a lot.

THEN Shannan disappeared May 1 2010, and we all know about the 911 call that brought heat to the Oak Beach community of Long Island and the CPH phone calls to SG's mom and sister.

Between Shannan's disappearance and Amber Lynn Costello's disappearance and death, we have Megan Waterman missing and her body found among the Long Island victims. There is no info wrt a cell phone found or missing. Presumably she had one. Did her bf/pimp (who is being less than co-operative) take it with him when he left her alone in the room with her last trick? Where is it? Was she or the pimp told (as Amber was) to ditch the cell phone before meeting with her last client, or did she have a cell phone on her that became a souvenir for her killer?

Then Amber Lynn Costello disappeared September 2 2010 after an offer of big $$$ and instructions to not bring her cell phone. IMO, the 911 call that Shannan made could well be what precipitated the john's instructions that Amber not bring her phone.

FWIW, we have no information whether any of the AC victims were found with or without cell phones.

ETA: Contrary to what i just posted re Megan, i just read Shadow's post (THANKS!!) that Megan's bf said she did NOT take her cell phone. IMO, that is significant that both victims post-Shannan were instructed not to take cell phones.

Wow! Some good sleuthing here. Have lurked in fascination at the posts re: LISK for the past few days.

A few thoughts: my gut and a smattering of forensic psych. tells me the old doc, CPH, is not good for it (we don't even know exactly what IT is yet).
Could he have tried to help SG--she disoriented, suffering effects of meds or rec drugs, or ,indeed, frightened to death, and he not wanting to be held liable once the media and family geared up? Thus, the wife's "we don't REHAB here"?
Could some of his, and the others' contradictory statements/behaviors have to do with knowledge of illicit sex transactions, or other culpability, short of homicide? In fact, could SB have run off, spooked or also not wanting to "be involved," and the discovery of the bodies be coincidental to whatever her plight that night?
Could there ,yes, exist underground and nefarious activity in the LI community, with or without LE complicity, but all of that NOT directly relate to SG's disappearance?
Hm. MP, the driver, could he have been SG's manager;the drifter a kind of red herring?
Again, me old gut says SK at work (maybe two, ala Hillside Strangler or NG and Lake) but not necessarily with dots connecting in a neat conspiracy.
I wonder if baby has been DNA'ed with the women or the man found. Whereas I speculate that coincidence could be at work in some aspects of this case, I theorize the finding of these dismembered, burlap- wrapped bodies and the baby to be beyond the powers of mere coincidence.

<Deee> used to post stories about kidnapping girls on the ny craigslist forum. I remember when the first bodies were found I thought the best place to look for online clues would be craigslist so I started searching the kink & bdsm forums. I found posts by "Deee" or "Deeee" who would post long multiple graphic stories about keeping girls as sex slaves and keeping there clothes as trophies. He would start a story as Dee and then post another part under the name <escapedbreakout> if anyone can help me find this post I would really appreciate it. I **** you not I had been looking for those posts for months until Deee popped up on Lisk.

I'm sure LE has already asked themselves that question, and for sure they asked CHP. If he suppiled them with some BS not realistic answer, they would have made an arrest by now. That is a strong indicator of involvement. I'm gonna have to get with my HS buddy who is in LE and ask him how something like that would work. Sitting here at the PC and thinking about your comment, and all the logic behind it, I would assume LE would turn up the heat ( naming him an official suspect) and since the initial questioning, made an arrest by now. But there may be many factors I'm sure that could postpone an arrest.

As it is now, there is some circumstantial evidence, but certainly not any physical evidence that Shannan was murdered. Turn up the heat too early and everybody lawyers up and shuts up.

I'm sure LE is very aware of the BS, but they aren't going to bust somebody for lying during an investigation when they've got a much bigger case at stake.

Was thinking of the reference to cadaver dogs having been through the dr's house, and his comment that they "found no evidence". The wording sat funny with me for some reason.

I got to thinking what factors could affect the smell of cadaver of a 7 to 8 month period (i.e. weather, temp, time, cleaning, chemicals, etc). A cursory google of "cover the smell of cadaver" <WITH quotes>, third hit down shows a sub-hit "Cadaver lab smell | Pre-Medical Osteopathic [DO]".

Warning: The site is definitely not for the squeamish !!

I have to go out so have not had time to read much of the forum, but found it so interesting that it is a convo that relates specifically to DO. Will check it out a lot more later.

I would like to help try find those posts, however there are no Goggle hits on the name <escapedbreakout>. Are you sure that was the exact name and/or spelling?

Or maybe, do you remember any EXACT sentences he wrote, or just two/tree words in a row? or single words he used that is a bit rare?

Interesting re the use of multiple "e" in Dee, then Deee ... Amber Lynn Costello's FB page had Molly Jean Dilts and a Jane Doee as a friend.

Just checked FB now and Jane Doee is no longer shown, but Molly is still there.

Probably nothing, as there are others named Jane Doee on FB ... just seems ominous that the name appeared on one of the victims' accounts and is now gone.

I actually found one of them. There were ALOT of posts like this I remember seeing. It's probably nothing but I remember keeping an eye out for "Dee" and then all of sudden someone using that name on LISK. Imagine my surprise. There was talk of this person going by "Dee Hunt" although I can't really make sense of the posts over at LISK. Does anyone remember that post from one of the escort review sites about AC being a good place for street walkers but LI best for young girls? Something about the "fun of the hunt"? Another idea on the scattering of the remains.

This one is off the wall, but a memory of someone triggered it. This is all just speculation.

A friend I had 20 years or so ago, (disclaimer crazy people love me, I was just an observer then, now I must admit I judge and run), had an issue with fitting things together. He would sit on the sidewalk and try to match strewn rocks, gravel, twigs. Everything that he had in pairs he cherished. He wrote bizarre child like notes, even made wall size murals in cartoon of things that bothered him on abandoned buildings, preacher's son btw.

The fitting together occurred to me as another reason to mismatch other than the obvious. Making one whole person out of the parts the were liked. Making one whole person that would like the killer.

I am sure there are many reasons, but mostly to confuse LE and to own each burial memory in each place is what I logically get hit with.

Just another random toss into the psycho mix for ya'.

In one of the photos, I saw Lynn Costello with a mixed-race baby and then Melissa Barthelemy was pictured with a mixed-race baby. I don't think that these babies were there own. Probably a niece. And we all know Megan Waterman has a mixed-race baby. And SG is mixed race. And on the "In memory of Maureen Brainard-Barnes" facebook page, there appears to be some mixed-raced kids in the photos. I wonder if this has any connection. Maybe it is just a fact of life that these girls are from similar lifestyles and the tendency to have interracial couples is more common. Or maybe it is something more than that.

What I find strange is that they have a recording of the AC 911 call and have no qualms of putting it on the air. But SG or GC's 911 calls have not yet been released.
