The thing that bothers me m-c is that Shannan took a big risk by fleeing and going for help as she could have been arrested for prostitution. I believe something happened in that house that REALLY frightened her.

I don't know these people in that OB neighborhood, yet I don't believe the story that's being told by any of these men. They are all protecting their own interests IMO. As we have all seen all too often in the cases we follow here at WS, the fault is projected onto the victim....she is bipolar...she uses drugs...she is hysterical. Shannan was very smart and a tough cookie toboot. She had enough wits about her to flee and find a house with the lights on to ask for help. But she flees when GC calls 911. Why?

We know MP is a convicted felon for using a false passport to smuggle a woman from China(?) into the states. Was she afraid of being sold into human trafficking?

Then we have JB, separated from his wife, saying he thought Shannan was a man. They didn't have sex! WTH! I call BS!!!
As my dear Grannny (RIP) would say, "Thar aint nothin 'bout Shannan that looks like no man!"

Then we have CPH and his many conflicting statements along with access to prescription drugs.

And I don't for a minute trust a word from Alex Diaz.

At least GC dialed 911. But he thinks she went into the water. And wasn't he the one who stated to the news media, "I'll tell you anything but just don't ask me to rat on my neighbors." (paraphrased) Is he afraid too?

Something about the 3 way call between Diaz, Pak and Hackett bothers me. My personal opinion is that the calls and the 'meeting' for Pak and Diaz to look for Shannan after her disappearance was really just a ruse for everyone to get their collective stories straight, IMO.

This is all mind boggling:crazy: but something is hinky in the OB neighborhood. They sound like a bunch of college kids covering each others butts and making up stories. I think something illegal was going on there that night and it wasn't just simple solicitation of a prostitute, or innocently driving a female to a party by MP as hired by the john, JB.

So many thoughts and questions........

I've never heard about the 3-way phone call between these guys. When did this happen? That sounds highly suspicious to me too.

I'm also not too quick to believe a convicted human trafficker and a guy who beat the crap out of his girlfriend. When you throw a sketchy doctor into the mix who decided that he was going to take it upon himself to call the victim's younger sister (whom he had never met before), I'd say we've got a truly suspicious group of people who have done nothing but contradict themselves and act strangely since this story has broken.

I cannot wrap my brain around Shannan, except I think she didn't get paid and wanted to spend the night in jail rather than face Pak. I believe she wanted protection and they all failed her.

She may have known someone over there from another job..wonder if he could have been stalking her.

many reports claim that Shannan named her attacker on the 911 call. ... could it possibly be that it was Pak that she said was attacking her? could this be why this person has not been named and that there doesn't appear to be a mystery suspect?

can it actually be that Shannan was terrified of getting a beating? I have thought this for some time.

she may have been running from Pak...but he is not the suspect and has been cleared.

Well, at this point, I wouldn't be surprised to find out they had a big conference call with everyone to get their stories straight! I'm sorta joking but not really...

Listening to all the versions of Gus's story, knowing what doors she knocked on, and seeing the videos of Anchor Way, with no place to hide from Pak pursuing her, I think it was probably Pak who pulled her into his SUV and SG named him on the 911 call. LE said it was someone "she knew" and we have no proof that she knew anyone but JB in OB. I think she thought Pak was going to kill her, but I don't think Pak acted alone. Then we have CHP claiming he saw her, so I think Pak took her to the doc's house where she was drugged and removed from LI. That is the most simple scenario.

That doesn't make any sense to me either. THe more I read the more confused I get. So many lies if you ask me. :maddening:

If SG was making such a ruckous and Pak went in to get her she must have took off out the door on a call to 911. Where did JB think she went? He must have been freaking out thinking, omg, this is all gonna come back to bite me big time or worse. I like others think there was some sort of "party" with multiple participants and something scared the crapola out of SG. What were they trying to do to her? Maybe that was why the 1500 offer? Cause it was some seriously kinky stuff but she had no idea how many partiers were going to be participating? Lawd have mercy, I'm so confused!!!!!!!!! I would think JB would have seen Pak take off after her when she ran. Did JB just slam the door with no further worries? I seriously doubt it. What about the non payment? Bet Pak was wanting his fair share. ??????

Another thing that bugs the crap out of me is this. Why is it NO BIG DEAL that SG was there or her "driver" to service a John? It doesn't seem to be a big deal o anyone. I know after the fact, they knew she was missing, that would be the least of anyone's worries but it's hinky to me!

The one thing that struck me on the homepage for that site was her nickname... "Dee"... It probably wouldn't have if there hadn't been some discussion here earlier... How far is it from BHI to Oak Beach? It didn't look that far on the map posted on her site... What would the probability of someone, from your experience or officer Jones' case, being involved with this one? probably not much, but I thought I would ask...

That is a good place if abondoned to hold onto "things" until deciding the final "resting" place.

So, if Gus is telling the truth then did he SEE CS take the tape or did CS tell him he took the tape? When did Gus turn in the back up to PD?

Something happened that night that none of those folks want aired in the public eye. Something that they may all know about but still they don't want US to see it.

These folks may or may not be involved but something stinks big time!

Wow ... a cling-on jacket

Normally, when asked if someone was "wearing" something, the answer would be yes or no. To respond that it was "over her shoulder" sounds hinky to me. If SG was in such panic mode with her jacket somehow "over her shoulder", that jacket must have been really hanging on throughout the 911 call, the scramble from JB's, falling downstairs, running, hiding, etc. If it was "over her shoulder", she would likely be hanging onto it with one hand while the other hand was dealing with everything else. Whether she was wearing it or clutching it when she called 911 from JB's house, she was set to leave with the jacket.

Would like to know where the jacket was found. Can't help but think it was maybe placed somewhere as a red herring.

Bodhi93, I think it is another strange coincidence about the 'Dee' connection as Davina's nickname was Dee. It takes about a good days drive from BHI to NY from what I understand. I have never driven it and am not good with posting maps. :innocent:

Officer Jones was murdered in 1999 and it is rumored to have connections with powerful politicians at the state and local level. I really doubt any good ole boys from NC would have any LI connections but you never know. The sheriff who ruled her murder a suicide claimed to have clearance to the Pentagon. He eventually served time at a federal prison in Butner (sp?), NC (the same one where Madoff is incarcerated) for obstruction of justice and witness tampering.

That said, I met legistators and professional atheletes during the time I spent there. I also witnessed hinky activities during the time I was there over several summers. The atmosphere at BHI (during that time) reminds me alot of the tales I am hearing of the OB neighborhood. Both are isolated, dark, nefarious activities going on, and little police presence. Almost lawless, IMO. And woe be unto anyone who sticks their nose into their neighborhood business.

I can't recall when the tape itself was supposedly "wiped". Depending on the timeframe and the specific set-up, it could be that it was just taped over due to automation. I am curious though as to how GC had access to the hard drive back-up that CS was in charge of ... whether the hard drive was in the gatehouse that many people had access to, or whether it was in someone's residence.
