yeah he seems a little too "ecstatic" doesn't he?

I wish there was some way to see what the actual date those photos were taken. Were they taken to document a morbid trip after news came out? Or are they markers to remind a sk of his trips to dump bodies?

I'd guess it's a she, based on the comment "I could have went shopping." But yeah, seriously weird. Or seriously in need of a life.

Haha, no, I've had enough of those websites. I think we've all had too much exposure to that world, it's warping our minds ;-)

As for the Long Island Serial Killer site, I just thought the t-shirt sale was odd and if you click the second link in that post I just made, there's a weird blog entry about visiting the Gilgo area. The author is disturbingly happy about going there, the blog has actually been amended since the last time I saw it. It used to have a picture of a girl with glasses (a self-portrait, I think it was the author). I don't think it has anything to do with whoever committed this crime, it just bothered me a little. I went down to Gilgo/Oak Beach today and it was not at all a "happy" experience. I'm just shocked at how insensitive some people are.

That's what I said in earlier post after reading that. Note how many times the author says "it's exciting." or "it was the most exciting time of my life"

So Officer John Mallia has been with the SCPD for 31 years and his K9 partner Blue has been doing this for 6 years yet we are supposed to believe that this was a training session? SCPD really thinks we are idiots!!

Yeah they train the dogs regularly. I talked with our local group once. They said they get together, place the scent or place volunteers in hiding if they are doing live search, then work the dogs to find them.

It isn't like they are "trained" and so now they know how to do it. They work with the dog to keep him familiar with the scents they are looking for, to remind him to listen to his handler even when he is working, to help the handler stay familiar with the dogs responses.

The training is pretty intensive and is done often. I just can't remember how often they said they did it.

Patterns. Something that bothers me about ALC is that she deviated from the pattern. She repeatedly posted ads that involved "incalls" as opposed to "outcalls." Whether for protection or to run a scam. Doesn't matter. It was a clear pattern. Yet, she suddenly does an "outcall" and disappears? Only to turn up dead three months later. Three months during which her sister never bothered to report her missing? Something just doesn't add up.

ding, ding, ding, ding, ding.

I am disregarding anything this dirtbag "boyfriend" has said to the media. Maybe 25% is true. He is a 🤬🤬🤬🤬. A 🤬🤬🤬🤬 that rips people off, who doesn't play by the rules. I don't believe the money amount, heck, I don't even believe she said "if my sis calls, tell her I love her" I think it's this 🤬🤬🤬🤬 trying to keep the heat off, even the heat from her sis, with some emotional hook. I don't believe she left without a phone, I think the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 was with them. I think the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 knows a whole lot more. They SHARE a phone??? If I pull out of my house on my nice suburban street to go a mile away to get a loaf of bread and realize I forgot my cell---I turn around. 🤬🤬🤬🤬, please don't tell me she went with a stranger without a cell. If there was a $1500 transaction, you can bet your bottom dollar that the dirtbag was going to be there to COLLECT. The whole thing stinks to high heaven.
Another thing I learned from the john forums is that these girls don't do outcalls to far away places very often. Oak Beach? Hell Nawwww. The only way that happens is if it's a guaranteed easy, high paying job and they know the john. I think SG knew JB--she did name her guy in the 911 tape.(at least the guy she knew of) She was there before, I would bet on that. I would also bet that the dirtbag AND ALC also knew the guy she was last with. Why would the dirtbag not name the john? Well, there's more to that story, it must include high stakes--I have said from day ONE--this includes a lot of money, a lot of drugs and I think some sort of sick videos. It isn't random. This is a ring, I've said it before, maybe the low level thugs are too scared to tell what they know. The sk is a few people removed from them--but they have a lot to hide, and you know what? I think the SK must have them by the cojones somehow, some sort of incriminating proof that can put them away. We will see. This isn't some solo sociopath.

Hi all - this is my first post but I've been following the case pretty closely since December. As an aside, I very strongly think JB is guilty here. I think he peaked officers interest on his interviews and that is what led to the discovery of the bodies nearby his home. I also think the reason they continue to search for Shannan is because they can tie him directly to her disapearance, and if they find her body, directly to her murder. There seems to be a good amount of circumstansial evidence to tie him to her, but without a body they can't charge him. He knows this and that was his reason for the snide comment he made a few weeks ago alongs the lines of "I"m sure she's still alive, what did she do, drop dead walking down the road"? No body, no murder.

As for the convo about ALC - I don't find it too surprising she was never reported missing. She had been a drug user and prostitute for a decade, her family may have thought she was hiding, or running, or didn't want to be found. Her sister may even have thought she was running from her "roommate" in particular. They may not have wanted to involve police for various reasons. I did read that they reported her missing as soon as the bodies were discovered, which leads me to believe they were worried about her but she may have done this type of thing before.

I also think its interesting that Melissa dissapeared earlier and her phone was used to harrass her family. Shannan next, and she used her phone to alert 911 that she felt she was in grave danger while at JBs house. The next two women, Meghan and Amber, who disapear after Shannan are specifically told to not bring their phone with them. To me, just sounds like someone learned his lesson..

Hi, NancySleuth, and welcome to WebSleuths. People continue to suspect JB, but circumstantial evidence against him seems to be very, very thin. Shannan left his house voluntarily with her own driver present. According to the Gilberts, his name is not the specific name mentioned on the film. And he did submit to multiple questionings, house, and car searches without lawyer or warrant.

I agree with your statements about ALC. I think that prostitutes, even well-paid prostitutes lead disorderly, irregular lives and that their contact with family members can be sporadic. It really is heart-breaking.

Do we know for certain that the final two of the four known victims were told that they shouldn't bring cellphones?

If it is exciting, then explain why.

For me, it is extreme sadness over the loss of the lives of these people, and also extreme sadness that this beautiful beach has been corrupted for everyone.

So you think that it was a woman that made the site?

Still it seems disturbing to me. Not dry and factual, not the "ghost story so scare me" type site. The 'author' was "ecstatic" at being there. Seems really weird.

I thought the Geraldo program aired tonight was very well done. Only wish there had been more of him interviewing Rifkin.

Chandler,
JB claimed she SG was at his house "for an hour" she was there for 3 or more..why would JB lie about this? His story is totally sketchy

IMO, LE or FBI created to tease out and lure in possible POIs.

Idk who made the site but it seemed like a woman made that blog post. There was a picture of her at the beach that it looked like she took herself (it has since been removed). She looked young, probably 19 or 20 with glasses and dark hair... I'd guess she has a low level of empathy and a little too much time on her hands.

Um, I don't think that Shannan left voluntarily, right? I mean running and screaming "they're going to kill me" does not seem voluntary.

I've watched programs where women were into "death and morbidity."

How about if someone close to them died, or they died? I guess then, you wouldn't be into that.

Yes, it's very disturbing in its attitude, but I've known other people who like to ogle crime scenes and read Jack the Ripper stories and say exactly the same things. I'm pretty detached from the gory aspects sometimes, but I don't find it exciting, certainly not the most exciting thing in my life. And ecstatic? Whoa.

I can only hope she's young enough to still be at the age of thinking the universe is only there for her entertainment.

Lol...now I'm even more leaning toward LE/FBI created! Must have missed that page before: "To finally see the “Gilgo Beach” sign, I was ecstatic. Just the possibility of driving past undiscovered bodies on Ocean Parkway was enough to get my blood flowing." Another thing that seemed way over the top to me, in addition to copying the entire articles from major MSM, were the detail of the "tags."

I think some of those quotes were missing by the time I saw it....but There was something like this: it was eerie because you have no idea if you will run across a body in burlap on Ocean Parkway....

Not a direct quote, but how bizarre! There are not going to be any bodies just lying around. Did this person read how long it took LE to find the remains they have found? Strange.

Is this the same girl that was never reported missing by anyone?

hi Astrella, yes, Amber, the one who was not reported missing.

Oops....sorry Reannan....missed that you had answered this.

I am admittedly not seeing a relation. Then again, I'm not sure why some think the SK is keeping his victims for some extended period, (or, for that matter, torturing them), before murdering them. As I have not read any articles that suggest either.

Actually I believe it was me that started that. And it was posted as more of a question and a possibility.

I had read that it is believed that some of the remains may have been already skeletonized when they were placed in the dumping site. And we don't really know how much time elapased between the girls going missing and when the bodies were dumped.

In order to do reduce the remains to skeletons, the sk would need a place to do the murders. A place to hold the bodies until they skeletonized or a place and a means to reduce them to skeletons. That reminds me of the Pickton murders to some extent. I believe that Pickton was believed to have processed the remains of his victims through his hog processing farm. And there were no intact bones to contend with.

But this also reminded me of the Heidnik dungeon murders. There was evidence that he "processed" his victims through a different means. And he was left with bones to contend with.

As to evidence of this, no there isn't any more evidence of it than there is that snuff films were being made, or that a hit squad was operating. Or that it was a Dexter type killing or a sado masachistic murder. It is just another thought to add to the possibilities that I hadn't seen mentioned.

It popped right to the top of the Google rankings already. Anyone know how to tell how long ago it was put up?

If this blogger's site is NOT "As featured in the Associated Press...and NY Times," as per the bottom of each page, she'll be hearing from them soon, as well as from others. In which case, the blog will be altered-significantly.

Am I understanding that correctly? An endorsement from these entities?
