I do not think this Case and the AC Case are related. picking up a street Woman and having one come to your House is different. He could get a Street Walker anywhere, on LI in NYC it is the Oldest profession so they say.

Even considering it was '4' of them & how they were found? It also was back in 2006 so he may have changed his MO in the meantime?

LE has said they're looking into the connection. They haven't said whether they've found anything, but they haven't denied it, either. And it was one of the first things they said after they found the bodies and acknowledged a probable serial killer.

I strongly suspect that there's something in the "signature" that hasn't been released to the public that makes them connect the two.

Yes, LE has remained consistent once they stated that they believed that the AC and LI murders are the work of the same SK. I also think that although there are similarities that tie AC and LI together, that the differences between the murders are very important to LE. By that I mean that the differences show the SK as evolved, so to speak. He's honed his skills and developed since AC, and he was already quite bold to begin with-4 murdered bodies clustered, posed and left not buried (AC).

True. but........there could be a reason that he uses more discretion in NY. He could be someone that others might recognize when he's on his own turf and he won't risk it.
If he just wants to kill them then it would be easier to find a street girl without being recognized when one is out of town hitting the casinos in AC. Thinking of all possibilities here. Well, actually I am not sure what to think...:banghead:

The SK has changed with the times. Technology continues to grow rapidly each year. He has grown and changed with it. He's adapted. He's a cunning little Path (SK). Why be left behind? Street walkers>advertising services on Craigslist. With the public demanding some accountability from Craigslist>sex workers have already moved on>perhaps, Facebook. The world changes, and this SK changed with it. There's no need for SKs to troll the streets anymore, particularly of major cities, if his ultimate goal is murdering sex workers.

I dunno but I bet LE wishes he wasn't cos who knows what else he may have said! OR maybe LE found him? OR he ditched his puter & he couldn't be traced by his ISP, OR used a public puter especially when communicating with prostitutes on CL and/or writing these reviews.

On that note....can a public puter be traced? If so, it doesn't seem likely they'd be able to catch them in the act..And if the KILLER is smart he'd never use the same public one more then once.

amysmom, I don't know how it works everywhere so this is just an example based on my experience. When I visit MT, I go to the local library to go online. (There aren't many wireless signals out there) I must sign in and show ID for a 30 minute block of time. Hope this helps.

UGH!!! This gave me flashbacks of serial killer Russell Williams, the former Col. with the Canadian Royal Air force who stole women's lingerie and photographed himself while wearing his loot!

IMO, not in Manhattan, not out in the open of Penn Station, Times Square, etc. Not even during the wee hours of the morning. Ultimately, I believe, he gets or grabs them into a vehicle and takes them to his destination where he does his filthy work-which is not necessarily where they thought they were going. They're safe or they have a fighting chance-that is, until they get into his vehicle.

Think of the Mele (accused) case-met the female victim at a Manhattan club-but he didn't drag her out of the Manhattan club in view of anyone. She walked out with him. He got her into his car, and drove her to his upstate home. Even had a pal, who had nothing to do with the murder, with him during the drive.

That message was posted by a guy whose name starts with an "M" and he was posting over at a website called "Utopiaguide" under a thread about 'Atlantic City'. He posted the message on 1/15/2010 at 12:35 pm. His join date was Nov 2009. I don't think I can copy the entire actual post by him but I will paraphrase what he said and then direct quote the important part:

"Never get tired of looking for hot girls because you never know who you are going to run into. When you find a place you are comfortable, you should stick with it. (This following is a direct quote) "I got started in Atlantic City, I was brought to a place by a foot taxi off the boardwalk. Best place I ever went to, hottest young things in there! I have read a lot of his other stuff because he posted frequently. Interestingly, it has his current status as being "banned". He primarily seems to frequent massage parlors, or at least that is what he is reviewing. I do not think he is necessarilly the SK, but since he is very active in visiting massage parlors and prostitutes, and since he seems to network with a lot of other guys that seem to want to share their experiences, and since he admits to being involved in that scene in Atlantic City and Long Island, I would think he would be someone that should at least be intereviewed .... for his experiences with other John's if nothing else.

I also think he called Melissa B's sister from the busiest Manhattan areas, not because he made a special trip to Manhattan, but because he likely works in Manhattan or NYC (perhaps, The Bronx)-can't recall the exact quote, but the calls were made at the end of the day. He's either on his way home-to the Island, or he knows the Island from having spent many a summer out there either growing up or when he came of age-fishing, boating, beaches, house shares, etc.

Kids, it's my first post here. I hope I don't create any issues. I just took the timeline someone else posted and added in a few things I had on a timeline for the Daytona Beach killings. I believe they've been discussed in the past.

Before I paste the timeline, here is what I have to add. The Daytona Beach killings all fall within a period that does not conflict with any of the disappearances in New York or New Jersey. Three of the Daytona Beach killings took place during the winter of 2005/2006. The fourth, which has been linked to the same person, took place during the winter of 2008. Both were around holidays, too.

All of the New York/Jersey killings have taken place during the spring and summer months.

If we operate on the theory that all three (New York, Jersey and Daytona Beach) are the same person, we can establish a few other theories.

1. This person is a seasonal traveler and prefers coastal communities that are also tourist destinations. This person keeps a low profile.

The person must be working or vacationing in these areas. It could be someone traveling by boat. It could be a fisherman who works different areas during different times of the year.

Now, the Daytona Beach person used a gun. That didn't happen in the other cases. This might not rule out a connection. Instead, it might indicate that the person decided to switch methods. Perhaps the person was arrested and had to surrender the weapon. Or maybe the person threw out the weapon for fear of being caught.

Has anyone checked out touristy cities along the East Coast? It might fill a few of the blanks on this timeline.

Police find the body of Iwana Patton, 35, on a dirt road off Williamson Boulevard in Daytona Beach, FL. The body was found following a “mysterious call”. The caller described the location of the body. The caller was eventually eliminated as a suspect.

6 April 2006, Jessica Morales, missing from Dorchester, MA. Described as a high-risk runaway, very petite.
