I would bet money you are right ghj! I am glad to hear the police are stopping cars today. I would not at all doubt the killer driving by there to relive the fake power he feels from committing murder. Today is also a new moon for what it's worth. Maybe LE is onto some type of pattern.

I pray they catch this guy soon. The summer tourists and holidays are right around the corner.

I think this guy is local and has a double life. He's too cunning to be super young in my opinion..way too organized...he's meticulous in every way...I think he uses the bags to carry the bodies from a location to the trunk of his car without revealing the contents to neighbors or random people.

He's not a punk...punks leave a mess...punks fall apart when they do violent crimes...no.

This guy has some sophistication...and he feels ownership of where he is dumping...thats why I feel he is not a vaccationer...but lives in or around the area.

Not Craigslist but there are tons of other active escort sites that johns are still using. Girls and their pimps are posting ads on a daily basis for dates on Long Island. I hope everyone is being much more careful but I doubt it.

I think it's all about desperation, for the girls and for the killer. I think that the girls need money, usually for a habit (or they're being forced to escort and have no real choice in the matter), and escorting is how they know they can get it. The killer has an urge to snuff out young lives and the internet is how he knows he can catch easy prey. I sincerely hope LE is monitoring and has a presence on those websites right now. Just my opinion.

Alot of SK's I think prefer a very controlled enviorment...thats why I think alot of sex crimes happen around trucking...because a rig is a really controlled enviorment and can move away quickly, with or without it's prey. and provides shelter from prying eyes.

I agree minazoe, these were not street girls turning tricks for piddly money. That kinda money is more than I could afford!!!!! I think this person has money but on the other hand he could be a poser and kills them because he cannot afford to pay.

I do have 'trucker' high on my personal suspect list. It would be so easy to do in one of those sleeper trucks. There is a suspected trucker dumping women's bodies along I-40 in S & SW states. The FBI has the case featured on their site.

Maybe he works in the import/export business (hence the burlap?). I also agree with the other poster who stated maybe he is using a girlfriend's apt. or cottage. It could even be a family cottage that everyone shares at different times of the year?

I saw a cold case show the other day where a SK did just that - used his girlfriend's house to commit his crimes (all against women). The girlfriend had no idea he was doing it either. Fortunately, she was very cooperative with the police.

If you google different combinations of words from her ads, you'll find ads she posted on other sites, under other names (so far we think she used "Chloe" and "Megan")


There are also several sites for johns where they post reviews of escorts they've had encounters with. One of these sites for LI is:

You have to be a member to read the posts but there is a thread on there about the murders and a thread about Costello. I'm not going to go into too much detail because it's second-hand information, you can go on there and read it for yourself, but some of the johns are claiming that in July she robbed a few of her clients by having them come to her apartment, pay her, and then having a couple of guys come out with baseball bats and demand the john leave the apartment. A few of the men on the board talk about getting revenge on her but for many reasons, I doubt that's what got her killed in the end. As with Barthelemy, if you use the words and phone number on the copy of the ad they posted in that forum, you will find more ads that Costello posted for her services on other sites. She used the name "Carolina"

Thanks, wm. I've actually been trying to see if anything new has been posted on longislanderotic.com but the login I was given doesn't seem to be working. If you are able to create one, I strongly suggest you go on there and read the thread about the murders (I think it's under the LI escort forum on there). It is mind-blowing. They johns get into specifics about Amber and post some of her ads. I also wanted to search that entire site to see if there were threads on any of the other girls, unrelated to or posted before the murders. It's basically a site where guys can review girls they have had experiences with. I'm going to try to get back on there but for whatever reason, I'm having difficulty today, I think it's a firewall issue with my laptop.

Basically just try to use the words and phone numbers from the girls' ads (we also posted Megan's ad a while back, I'll try to find it) and do google searches to see if you can find anything else about them or things johns said about them.

Naturally, given the nature of these searches, you're going to come across some raunchy, offensive stuff. The way some of these guys talk about the escorts is disturbing enough on it's own. Good luck, let me know what you find!!
