NYC gang of dirt bikers brutally beat 64-year-old man, son in caught-on-video attack

Disturbing footage released by police shows a gang of dirt bikers viciously beat a father and son in broad daylight on a New York City street.

The 64-year-old motorist, accompanied by his 36-year-old son, collided with one of the dirt bikes on March 15 at about 4:30 p.m. in Upper Manhattan, according to police.

The enraged mob of bikers allegedly pursued the motorist for two blocks, cutting him off with their vehicles near the intersection of Saint Nicholas Terrace and West 127th Street, the New York Police Department said.

Anyone with information is urged to call NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.

Lots of elephants in this particular room.

I'll take issue with the journalistic semantics on display here. If a bunch of thoroughbreds were stolen from Belmont Park then ridden through the streets of Manhattan where they got involved in some sort of incident, would it be described as a bunch of jockeys assaulting a motorist because he collided with their mounts?

Not street legal. Four motorcycles & an ATV here at the Laughing homestead.

Wonder what charges will actually be filed?

Vehicles have lights so that other vehicles can see them -- including brake lights & tail lights, which these vehicles lack. That's part of the definition of a dirt bike.

Likely, if the vehicle was a street-legal motorcycle, the (assaulted) driver would have been able to stop in time!

People know who these (redacted) are.

Grr.
