According to the sources, the investigation started with the discovery of a body on the train at Whitehall Station early Wednesday. Police immediately reviewed MTA subway cameras and found footage of the acts.

Sources say the suspect performed or tried to perform various sex acts on the body, and that he would wait for moments when the train car was empty to pursue his attack. It's believed the entire assault, which sources say involved pulling the body from the train seat to the floor, took several minutes.

So it's my opinion that he is unidentified ONLY from putting his name out in the media. If they are talking to his brother, from his front door, AND the accused had been staying with him... they know his name. JMO

Rape is a crime of violence not sex. It is about power over. The defilement in this case is most likely more about further degrading the homeless deceased victim.

If he did, I'm sure it would have said so in the article. People just die, and I guess some thought he was asleep or nobody reported it or something. New yorkers mind their own business as a rule, for the most part. I am one and obviously am nosey, so I don't fit, despite being from NY. I'd have been calling in that dead body.
