Thanks for linking this. :)

Some nice photos and recollections of Debbie !

I am sorry for the way her life was taken in such a brutal and agonizing manner.

From the above link :
"...Law enforcement sources told The New York Post that Zapeta-Calil claimed he was drunk and had no recollection of the incident.
They allege that the suspect then fanned the flames with a shirt before sitting on platform bench and watching as she burned..."

The fact that he took the time to 'fan' the blaze on this poor woman doesn't seem like he was drunk, and out of it.
Hope he gets the max punishment.
Omo.

"Teen heroes who turned in alleged subway fire killer

are blocked from receiving $10K NYPD reward on technicality,

families say: ‘Such B.S.'

Teen heroes who nabbed subway arson killer Sebastian Zapeta-Calil
have been denied the $10,000 reward promised by the NYPD —
allegedly because they called the wrong phone number to report it."

There probably should have been some way/form to bypass it. Had they not called, who knows how many people this stoner would have maimed in the meantime.
The city of NY could help them with scholarships or such.,,

Moo.. denying the reward over a technically is just foolish. I believe the same was done to the McDonald's worker who called in over CEO shooter. People just call 911 because it is the number every one knows. Denying, oops you didn't read the small print...is just gonna make people have no faith or desire to get involved in doing a good deed...moo

Yes, this is totally unacceptable in my opinion.
