If she wants information, I suggest she take her happy arse down to the jail and ask her boyfriend. OMG.

  • #302
Christina Bookal says someone out there knows something. She hopes their conscience forces them forward.

Missing Newburgh boy's mom wants more info

I just want to slap this woman!! :banghead:

Her answers are sitting down at the jail.. behind bars. Of course they won't share ANY info with her.. she's supporting their #1 suspect!!!!

Christina Bookal said they should have been more thorough and aggressive from the start.

Maybe she should have been more diligent while making decisions about who was caring for her son.. Then she wouldn't have this problem.

  • #303
“Mom” really, really ticked me off…how dare she! According to the article, http://www.recordonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20091229/NEWS/912290307/-1/SITEMAP

she said…

She’s frustrated with police
Thinks they should have been more thorough and aggressive from the start
If it were one of theirs, they'd have the whole ... town flipped upside down
Someone out there knows something and hopes their conscience forces them forward….

All while (also from article)…teams of city and state police divers felt their way through water searching for little Marc.

I personally would like to say that I appreciate the efforts from the PD and all of the searchers. IMO, she should be grateful, not only because they continue to search when the answers could be easily discerned from HER boyfriend---and she should be thanking her lucky stars that she hasn’t been hauled in on negligence charges, or others….by now!

Oh…and I pray that they don’t stop searching, (although her comments could lead to that, IMO), maybe HER conscience is getting to her…thus all the negativity and criticism…in hopes that they will stop searching…then she can play the “poor pitiful me” role…arghhh!

(thanks for posting this article)

Just Bumping Marc's thread to the first page.
Still think of this child everyday. Hope he is found soon.
The low life that did this needs to rot for what he has done.
Mom needs to wake up a realize LE is doing all they can do. Does not seem they are getting much help from those who have the answers.

  • #305
Mom seems to think that 'everyone else' is responsible for Marc not being home.
She excuses her bf.
She whines about the police.

She knew what the bf was like. He beat another of their children severely.
He had beaten grown men.
She left Marc with him.
Marc had prior burn marks. Just now healing.
Marc disappears while with bf.
There is a whole logic to this sequence.

Mom is in denial, just like so many women who live with abusers.
But mom is in complicit denial. She knew. She has always known.
She just did not want to change her life or change who she lived with
or put her children first.

And one child is missing.
One child was beaten.
Who knows what else has happened.

  • #306
Please I hope the DA charges the mom. She had NO business having this 🤬🤬🤬 living with her and her kids, with his criminal past. Something needs to be done about mothers doing this. Mothers need to be charged in cases where their child is injured or killed by a boyfriend. Most are dump just like this mom. They put their love lives first.

On a seperate note, a woman on craigs list recently posted some questions in the legal forum. Her husband/step-dad is in jail for molesting her 7 yr old daughter and the child is with the bio Dad for now. She got some criticism from people saying that since the abuse happened in her home, thanks to her marrying this guy, she is lucky not to be charged. She responded" What was I suppposed to do, stay single?" ?????

Bumping for Marc. This was on the second page.

Any new news?
Praying they find him soon and Justice is served.

I pray every day for the abused and neglected children of this world, the abused and neglected animals and for their abusers to see their wrongs and to change or give up their children or animals to someone who wants them.

I hope that in 2010, things change and that our missing kids/people are found and put to rest. Lead the way Marc. Light a path for them.

Thank you SailorMoon. May 2010 be blessed with kindness to the children in the world, may there be no more wife killers, child molestors, or child abductors. That is my wish for 2010. I was going to pick dieting, but this is so much more important.

Another wish I have -- forget the diet informercials, and instead have a rolling slide show, non-stop, of all the missing children, 24/7. It can be done!

Missing 4 year old The Search For Marc Bookal

The little boy's face appears on missing posters everywhere in this city.

But Marc Anthony Bookal is gone from 11 Benkard Ave. Gone from the bedroom where his 5-year-old brother suddenly has begun to wet the bed and cry. Gone from the kitchen where his mother's co-workers pass through in shifts. Gone from in front of the Christmas tree shared by his three older siblings.

Just now reading through this thread. That poor, poor child. He didn't stand a chance. As for the adults, I can only echo the sentiments of other posters here.

Hope Marc is found soon and justice is served.

Byrd served five years and five months in state prison for the 2002 attack of an 18-year-old. Now 25 years old, the victim in that attack remembers Byrd as a “vicious animal” who brutally beat him and slashed his face even though he did everything Byrd asked.

Search Efforts
City police and officers from other agencies, as well as K9s from Westchester County, are continuing to search abandoned buildings and other locations throughout the city, hoping to find Marc Anthony Bookal. http://www.recordonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20091215/NEWS/912159985

Police helicopters flew overhead and bloodhounds were taken through the family’s house, searching for clues. http://www.midhudsonnews.com/News/2009/December09/15/Bookal_missing2-15Dec09.htm

In the early evening, a police radio bulletin said they were looking for a white Mercury Sable, heading up Broadway to Route 17K. They believe it contained a male driver and a four-year-old boy. Newburgh City Police Tuesday charged the boyfriend of the boy’s mother with endangering the welfare of a child for letting Marc wander off unattended. http://www.midhudsonnews.com/News/2009/December09/15/Bookal_missing2-15Dec09.htm

Dogs picked up the boy's scent near the Hudson River Wednesday, but there was no sign of him. Dive teams searched the river again Thursday. http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/story?section=news/local&id=7171531

City of Newburgh police are now saying there will be no press conference. Previously a police spokesman had said that police were planning to hold a press conference at 11 Benkard Ave. in front of the home of Marc Bookal, 4, who went missing from him home at 1:20 p.m. Monday.http://www.recordonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20091217/NEWS/912179983

Sources tell us police received a call from a tipster say they saw something suspicious along the river the day the boy disappeared. Right now, dive teams are going into Hudson River near the boy's house. http://www.myfoxny.com/dpp/news/local_news/new_york_state/091216-newburgh-boy-missing-river

Police Sgt. Paul Weber says a special search and recovery dog provided by the National Center for Exploited Children is involved in the effort to find Marc Anthony Bookal, who vanished from his family's apartment Monday. Dogs and dive teams have also checked the nearby Hudson River, but Weber says Friday there's still no sign of the child.

Search Warrant
Police obtained a search warrant and searched the child's house. It is unclear why a search warrant was needed, but a police source tells Eyewitness News that the boy's parents are cooperating with the investigation. Marc's mom, Christina Bookal, said cops repeatedly questioned her about Byrd on Tuesday. Police have not called Byrd a suspect in the boy's disappearance, but Bookal said they're thinking that way. "They say, 'Could Cory have done this? Where would he put (Marc)?'" Christina Bookal said. But she said cops should "worry about where (Marc) is at. Don't worry about who did what at this time." Bookal dismissed the idea Byrd had anything to do with her son's disappearance.

Because of the cold temperatures, individual officers won’t be able to stay in the water for long, so there will be a lot of rotation, he said. Not sure whether Coston or Caston is the right name (story about Rev. Grace has with O; stories about Byrd's 1998 charges have with A).
