Evidence showing guilt:
-Aug 4th Currie's son, Mason, is seen on footage alive, in his custody at his Bronx co-op city apartment
-Aug 5th James Currie leaves his residence towards South Street where he is seen on footage with a backpack fashioned like a baby carrier covered with a blanket at 3:10pm, <1 hour before Mason's body is recovered
-Aug 5th Tourists from Oklahoma recover Mason's body seen floating in the East River near South Street
-Aug 5th James Currie boards a train at Chambers St, a half mile from the recovery site, minutes after the body is recovered. He is not seen with the backpack or blanket.
-Aug 6th Mason is not dropped off at daycare. His mother calls police seeing footage of a baby's body being recovered from the East River
-Aug 6th James Currie sends ominous messages threatening the mother that she "will never see Mason again".
-Aug 6th James Currie boards a plane for Thailand
-Aug 10th James Currie is returned to the USA for charges of concealment of a corpse

What a joke. The only question surrounding a potential sentence was likely Manslaughter or Murder. While the autopsy did not definitively conclude the exact cause of death, that state of Mason's body injuries consistent with homicidal violence, asserting circumstances that were not natural.
This should have been an open and shut case.
Prosecutorial misconduct does not equal innocence. Unfortunately it does stop proceedings. James Currie had guilt woven all throughout his actions. Laws should be updated. While the justice dept is supposed to act legally in pursing the law, it doesn't absolve likely predators when the prosecution skirts that law.
James Currie's son was alive when brought to him for visitation but was not that way when brought to the River for disposal. To leave your child in a diaper, in the East River, to be recovered by a stranger. No Remorse.
How is anyone safe from a person like that. "Allegedly."
