The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a member of a local motorcycle club who was reported missing in January.

Friends of Michael P. Ahern, 42, reported him missing on Jan. 15. Deputies said Ahern was last seen on Jan. 6 and lived at the club’s headquarters at 16 Brickyard Road in Stillwater.

The club, Rolling Pride, dissolved in January, according to a post on its Facebook page.

Deputies said Ahern’s disappearance is considered suspicious because he was not known to be depressed and didn’t tell his family anything about leaving the area. His vehicles and dog were found at the clubhouse, and Ahern did not pick up his prescriptions.

The bike club "dissolved" when he went missing and he left his ride and his dogs behind? At this point sadly, it's a body recovery, and likely due to violent crime. Prayers for his family.

From the article: “Rolling Pride is considered an outlaw biker gang and is an adversary of the Hell's Angels, a law enforcement source said Wednesday. The Hell's Angels have a local clubhouse in Troy.”

Sounds like LE has an idea of what happened.

Authorities: Police focus on building that once housed motorcycle club in connection with Stillwater man's disappearance
[...]

NewsChannel 13 obtained photos and video of New York State Police as well as the sheriff's office at a warehouse on Brickyard Road over several days in both March and April. Investigators can be seen dressed in hazmat suits on the scene.

Sources in March said investigators left with a garbage bag, after sifting through ashes in that building – and that as a search warrant was being executed on the property, a fire started inside the building in question. Police were there for several days in March and even secured the property overnight. They returned in the middle of April, this time with drones. They were gone by the second day.

The suits are worn both for hazmat and for biohazards (contact with bodily fluids while investigating remains.) Since I don't see anyone with a formal respirator, I'm thinking blood or other body fluid exposure.

Stillwater, NY is called Stillwater because it's surrounded by water, Hudson River on one side all along the road and Saratoga Lake on the other side. About 3 1/2 mile stretch between the 2 waters. He was to be in the water.

Interestingly, the Hells Angels usually don't hide bodies. Their MO is to kill and leave the bodies right out in the open, and then everyone says they didn't see anything. At least that's the MO around this area.

Photos of some of his tattoos are posted with this case summary.
Details of Disappearance
Ahern was last seen in Stillwater, New York on January 6, 2019, which is also the last day he used his cellular phone. He was involved with local motorcycle clubs and was living on Brickyard Road in the clubhouse of the recently disbanded Rolling Pride Motorcycle Club at the time of his disappearance. He has never been heard from again.

His vehicles (including a green 2003 GMC pickup truck with the New York license plate number HYN7657), medications and dog were left behind at the clubhouse, without arrangements having been made for the dog's care. He wasn't known to have been depressed at the time of his disappearance, and it's uncharacteristic of him to leave without warning.

Ahern is considered missing under suspicious circumstances. His case remains unsolved.

I live within a few thousand feet of this location. I drove by the main entrance when law enforcement was conducting their search. This location sits at the base of a hill there is a driveway that leads to what was the clubhouse. Behind the clubhouse is are log of trees which have been cut down. This location also serves as an area where a local Tree Business used to shred trees for mulch. Does case has always interested me as I can see the back portion of the property when I take my dog for a walk as on the top of the hill is a newer residential Community which shall remain nameless. Brickyard Road she's quite a bit of traffic, but yet I would say that it is still real and that it is not busy like a main road. I don't drive it everyday but when I do drive it I see maybe one or two cars at any given time. This case initially made the news as I am a local as to what exactly happened.

Young military veteran implicated in death of missing Saratoga County biker

A young military veteran from Clifton Park has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the disappearance two years ago of a Saratoga County biker, Michael P. Ahern of Stillwater, the Times Union has learned.

Jack L. Jeffers, 25, an Army veteran and member of the New York National Guard, had been a focus of the investigation into Ahern's disappearance along with associates of at least one other local biker club.

The Saratoga County sheriff's department have scheduled a news conference on Tuesday afternoon to discuss the case. It's unclear whether police recovered Ahern's remains in connection with Jeffers' arrest.

In January 2021, authorities announced Jack Jeffers had pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon in Ahern's case. A photo of Jeffers is posted with this case summary. Investigators stated he shot and killed Ahern over a personal dispute, then stole Ahern's truck and disposed of evidence afterwards. The two men were both in the same motorcycle club and had ongoing tensions over drugs and money. Jeffers, who has yet to be sentenced, faces four to twelve years in prison for the manslaughter charge, and up to nine years for the weapons charge.

Ahern's body has not been located, but foul play is suspected in his case due to the circumstances involved.
