Apparently the box was on the porch for cats to sleep in. I wonder if he just wandered up and saw it or someone put him there? Very strange circumstances so far.

Relatives said they didn't know the family was going out of town, but it wasn't unusual from them to take road trips.

Is it me or does anyone else wonder what kind of employment allows for rental cars/road trips, etc.? The precious tot was wearing nothing but a diaper, yet they were used to taking road trips in rented cars. So glad this precious baby was spared. I hope he will someday forget what happened that night.

Poor baby. I can't help but assume someone placed him on that porch. But it also makes me think of how few people bother sparing these helpless little children when something like this happens. His mommy's name is "mommy".

The remains of that car look bad! I wonder how they'd identify anyone if they didn't already have a good idea now of who might be in it from identifying the 3 yo.

The car top was removed (cut) to allow access to the "remains" inside so it was in the shape of a car before the fire department removed the top. (this comes from a first-hand account from someone I know who works nearby)

Apparently the fire completely burned itself out so it had ample time to destroy any evidence.

So only 2 bodies in the vehicle. What were they doing at a storage facility at that time of night? It’s unusual to go out of state without notifying loved ones.

IMO: It’s someone who knew the young child who allowed him to survive.

The storage facility is actually an old, fairly large, brick building on a pretty isolated stretch at the end of the Street. There are grassy areas with trees around it where old industrial type buildings used to stand. If you put a car behind it, even on fire, it would be invisible to most of the surrounding area unless you were on the elevated section of the highway that passes nearby (rt. 198). It would be a great place to commit a crime at 3am or hide the evidence that is. There would be nobody around, even on the expressway. Someone who knew that area did this. Thank goodness they spared the baby.

There could be evidence left. If victims were shot first, bullets. If accelerants were used that will show.

You should get verified so your first hand info can stay. Otherwise, may be removed.

Family fears parents dead after 3-year-old found sleeping in box on N.Y. porch

LA found 3-year-old Noelvin, who was wearing only a pull-up diaper, asleep around 8 a.m. Monday in a cardboard box on her front porch in Buffalo, N.Y.

“He must’ve heard me open the door. He came crawling out of the box, and he had the blanket around him. I picked him up, and I hugged him,” LA said. "He was saying the car was burning up. The car was burning up. That's all he kept saying."

I truly believe that the little guy saw it happen. Hard to believe whoever was responsible for this had a heart and put him on the porch? How did that darling little boy get there?

Is it possible that another person was involved? I am just trying to understand how one person could have done this alone and yet spared the child, and brought the child to that porch? Wouldn't they need a second car to drive to that house or to get away, at the very least? How else would they get away?

I'm surprised that poor child was sleeping all of that time- you would think in a cool, strange place, with only a blanket on, outside, that he would be scared and traumatized, seeing the car on fire. Did someone slip the little guy something to keep him sleeping just long enough for them to get away?

If there is an space to capture heat and oxygen can get in, then the materials in a car can create a cavity hot enough to melt aluminum and sometimes steel.

My guess perhaps something happened and possibly his clothes were taken in case they had evidence on them ie the perpetrators blood, hair etc.

Thankfully they spared him.

Police: Former Webster man may be connected to abandoned toddler, burned bodies found in Buffalo
Buffalo police are looking for a former Webster resident and the parents of a 3-year-old boy who was found sleeping alone on a porch.

The three are from the Orlando area and are believed to have arrived in Buffalo on Sunday evening, police said.

Police listed the boy's parents, Nicole Merced Plaud, 24, and Miguel Anthony Valentin-Colon, 31, as missing, along with a family friend, Dhamyl Mirella Roman-Audiffred, 29.

Grandparents visit 3-year-old found sleeping on West Side porch
Noelvin was a little timid at first.
