I agree, and wondered just 'who' was appointed legal guardian and signed any consents or paper work, while the LE were questioning a 13 year old.?

Dad is back now....
We should have additional information once a lawyer becomes involved, and proper legally obtained questioning commences.
MOO
Except for preliminary questions when LE entered the home (when they entered I don't think they knew who the victim was and they may have only been trying to determine why the blood trail led to the house, who lived in the home and if there could be another victim in the home) I don't know if LE questioned the son/were allowed to question the son. JMO.

I can read/speak a bit of Hungarian - I checked one of the country's big news site (telex.hu) to see if the crime had garnered any attention there. Didn't see anything so far.

A few of you have also brought up how hard it would be to carry a rolling bag with a body up a flight of stairs. I would also add that, unless the person picked the bag up and carried it, it would also be LOUD. I've struggled to drag a rolling suitcase up stairs before and it was not a quiet endeavor (unless, of course, the stairs were carpeted).
Perhaps a walk out basement?

The couple’s older son also went missing in 2004 but was later found, too, the sources said.

The older son would have been a baby in 2004. He was most likely taken by someone that the family knew then who was probably a woman.

This woman would have spent some time in jail. The person in the video could be a short woman. She could have become very angry after years in prison. JMO

I think where the kids go to school is pretty irrelevant, as well as their fashion choices. Its not that unusual for 2 teenage kids to get into that kind of stuff. After all, most of the founding Ramones went to Forest Hills High School lol
This whole Liam Neeson movie style texting thing is contrived. It sounds like someone who is making very feeble attempts at damage control after they realize theyre in over their head.
Also, it states that someone came in after her she got home. It never states who let them in, so they couldve had a key or it couldve been her or the son.
We also dont know if anyone was home with her son (a friend or whatever) when she came home. 13 year old boys left home alone on Friday nights have been known to have friends over, even if its just to play video games or whatever.
Im not getting any sort of drug vibe from this. Im getting immaturity and bad damage control. And the dad 100% lawyered up. However, i dont even think they would need that much input from whoever the guilty party is once any sort of digital/phone evidence comes in as well as im sure what is a boatload of physical evidence.
Also, in my exentesive history of dealing with the NYPD and watching many, many people be removed from places after situations where a major crime is believed to have happened, its important to understand that they need to verify people's identity. While i dont think this was a barricaded situation, the kid was upstairs hiding in a house that probably had blood all over it. Just because they put cuffs on him doesnt mean he was arrested. People get restrained all the time if theyre being belligerent without being arrested. I can look into if there was any other emergency response and what that job text says. Did the kid go to the pct initially or did he go to ER for an eval first? He wouldnt have been able to refuse medical/psychiatric care without a guardian being present or at least contacted and spoken to by LE or responding EMS. Both of those parties act in loco parentis in the event there is a patient/aided who is a minor without a parent. I highly HIGHLY doubt a telemetry doctor would grant a refusal to a situation like this if the kid needed any kind of emergency care.

I think it’s bizarre so many are blaming the son and the media is spinning the story like crazy.

Why not believe the actual evidence and the suspects own words??

Weird.

Can a mod update that the father and sons have been ruled out as suspects?
Only a couple posters are outright blaming the the son. There is a TOS about doing this. There was one article stating older son and father as no longer suspect.

Woman found dead in duffel bag at Forest Park in Queens

There are some helpful quotes in this article.

“[Police] found [the 13-year-old son] alone on the top floor of the residence.” The son did not answer the door for police; he was found on the top floor. This may go towards the fact of how soundproof the home is between floors.

“Officers have reportedly questioned another teenager who lives in the Forest Hill neighborhood.” I’m curious about the nature of this interview.

Welcome to all the new members. It's actually against WS TOS to accuse someone of a crime who has not been named a person of interest by LE. For those who are new members to WS please take the time to read through the TOS rules to avoid having your posts removed.

IMO there’s just too much here that we don’t know. Too much to speculate.

I can’t really grasp how, if OG were in fact having an illicit tryst, that she would bring that man to her home when she has a son of age to know what that implies.
And if she did bring a man home while her husband was away, if that enraged someone, for instance her son, wouldn’t he have attacked the man as well?
Just speculation, of course.

I would think that if someone hired a hitman, they would be aware of who would/would not be in the home at the designated time of the hit. The fact that the son was there, and could potentially walk in on/witness the crime, makes the hitman theory less plausible. Too risky for the younger son to become collateral, I would think.

I have only seen a CBS article that was updated today saying the husband and son were not suspects. The family is being protected 24/7 by the police assuming because of the active threat to their lives. I don’t expect a news conference from LE until they make an arrest due to the active threats to other lives.

Update/clarification on Orsolya Gaal’s murder: NYPD sources tell PIX11 News that Gaal told her youngest son she was going to a show Fri night and her killer, at some point, caught up with her. He was known to Gaal. Their exact relationship is unclear.

According to our police sources, the killer sent a text to Gaal’s husband from her phone after the murder, saying, ‘Your wife sent me to jail some years ago…I’m back. Don’t call the police or I will kill your family.”

This is what I interpreted as the info about the date coming from the son. Imo, She supposedly told the son who told the police. Did she tell the son that? Maybe I am wrong in my interpretation. I apologize if I am. There are lots of reporting as if the date has been identified. One report said it was a woman. Then other reports say LE is still investigating the info. Reporting is all over the place. Hopefully clarification comes soon.

Eta: forgot the Imo.

Accusing anyone of committing this crime is off limits and I know TOS prevents us from discussing those cleared but I assumed everyone who was in or around the home is still considered a suspect right now. It's only been 2 days since she was killed.

I can not find the article where LE stated son and dad both no longer suspects. Can you point me in that direction?

I looked up homes for sale on juno st, and see that there is a bedroom top floor.

Not only that, but the whole purpose of hiring a hitman is to create distance. As that person is not connected to the victim, there's no reason to take the bizarre step of removing the body. There's also no reason for the overkill.

I'm convinced she knew this person.

It's here: Sources: Orsolya Gaal's husband, son no longer persons of interest in her death

It would have been super easy to rule them out, as they know the general timeframe when this murder occurred.

The most likely explanation of why the dufflebag was found where it was is that the person lugging it was tired and just gave up. They had dragged it 0.5 miles already. The entrance to the park is about 0.3 miles ahead, and once in the park, the distance to get to a place where one could dispose of the bag is very far and is unpaved (except for the main road through the park). It is highly unlikely that a full grown man would be so tired as to abandon the bag after making all this effort so far

On April 16, 'Astronomical twilight' began at 4:37 am, with sunrise an hour and three quarters later at 6:15 am. From 4:37 am onward the sky would be growing noticeably lighter with decreasing cover of darkness for the perp. Maybe approaching dawn and being in an area of more traffic caused perp to decide to abandon the duffel bag then. Was also a full moon on the 16th (visible in the full-sized doorbell camera shot).

Has anyone seen or found out what Orsolya did for a living? Was it a job that she had the power to put someone in jail? I noticed that LE has referred to this as a domestic situation. Perhaps there was a past domestic situation involving this family and someone went to jail and now just like the texts message said … “I’m back” and the suspects wanted the husband to know who they were.

I just really take the suspect at their word due to the extremely violent nature and overkill of this crime and the fact they made zero effort to hide their identity besides wearing a hoodie. The husband likely knows who the suspect is and why this person was perviously in jail.

I can’t find the comment but I just wanted to say that Hockey bags have wheels so the suspect was very likely rolling the bag .5 miles he was not dragging it as someone previously stated.

I mean who ever said a hired hit person was smart? I do agree it was sloppy work and bizarre to leave the body to be found.

Time will tell.

Usually when the husband is conveniently out of town and a wife is murdered it doesnt end well for him.

Why delete his recent tweet:

“Just landed Portland OR before evaluating Ann Arbor again with my 17-year-old son,” Klein wrote. “Highly recommend ‘Freezing Order’ @Billbrowder a man I’ve followed closely and admired since I started on Wall Street in 1997 broking EMEA & Russian equities to hedge funds like Hermitage.”

The book is subtitled “A True Story of Money Laundering, Murder and Surviving Vladimir Putin’s Wrath.”

I do not think a father would arrange a hit man to kill his wife in the basement of the family home when his other son was there.
