Pamela Alcantara was last seen on around 2 a.m. Sunday at her home on Morris Avenue.

The remains were found in a suitcase in a creek, according to sources. The mother of the 26-year old Alcantara told Telemundo 47 her daughter was found dead in Yonkers, possibly stuffed in a red suitcase.

"She was a very noble person," Bishop Fernando Rodriguez, the head of L.A.C.A. said of the 26-year-old Alcantara. "She loved to work with and help the unfortunate. She worked in a shelter and was very big on feeding the homeless. She was a great girl, a young girl, this is very unfortunate."

Alcantara graduated as a chaplin two years ago, Rodriguez said. She had never been to the Connecticut church before but was hoping to help the pastor who was going to preach, the bishop said. Rodriguez said he didn't know the name or location of the church
