I lived not far from that area at the time and it is problematic because it is right near highway 49, which is Broad Street in Bridgeton, which can get you out of the state and into Delaware within a half hour.

There are also abandoned buildings in Bridgeton, as it is a severely depressed area since the glass industry dried up. Not far from that playground is an old growth forest in the same park and not a mile away on Beebe Run Road was an old mill converted to a home that was abandoned and since burned down some point after Dulce’s abduction.

To mark the sixth anniversary of her disappearance, family and supporters will return to the park on Saturday, Sept. 13, at 1 p.m. to remind the community that Dulce hasn’t come home.

As in previous years, attendees will gather at Dulce’s Tree, which was dedicated in the little girl’s honor near the playground where she was last seen.

More information about the vigil is available on Facebook via the Justice for Dulce Maria Alavez group.

“We still have an open and active case, and investigate every lead we get in conjunction with our law enforcement partners,” an FBI spokeswoman said Friday. “We continue to ask anyone who may have information to reach out to us at 973-792-3000.”

So much trauma for this poor family. What could someone possibly gain from making up a story about a missing little girl on a Nextdoor post (?!).

It's paywalled and no other articles seem to suggest anything like this Epstein angle. Only the one shared above. That can't be read without a subscription.

Doesn’t seem like much:

- “In one instance, the case was included as part of a nine-page FBI morning news briefing from Sept. 24, 2019, eight days after the girl went missing. The briefing details newsworthy events of the day.”
- “The other mentions stem from aggregated news lists that were sent out.”

The case of Dulce Maria Alavez, the girl who went missing from a park in Bridgeton in 2019, is mentioned six times in the more than 3 million pages of documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein federal sex trafficking case.
In one instance, the case was included as part of a nine-page FBI morning news briefing from Sept. 24, 2019, eight days after the girl went missing. The briefing details newsworthy events of the day. The section of the briefings pertaining to the Dulce case is about police asking for the public's assistance in locating her.
The FBI Director's Morning Briefing is published by Bulletin Intelligence, which creates custom briefings for government and corporate leaders, according to the document.

The case of Dulce Maria Alavez is mentioned six times in the more than 3 million pages of documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein federal sex trafficking case.

His relationships with powerful men, including President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton and the former British prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, have been the subject of endless fascination and speculation. Neither Trump nor Clinton has been accused of wrongdoing in connection with Epstein. Andrew has denied abusing anyone but has been stripped of his royal titles.

Epstein was arrested on federal sex trafficking charges in July 2019 and was found dead in his cell just over a month later.
Alavez, who was 5 at the time, went missing from City Park on Sept. 16, 2019. She was last seen playing with her then 3-year-old brother at 4:20 p.m. Her mother, Noema Alavez Perez, was attending to an 8-year-old relative when she realized she couldn’t find her daughter.

Investigators have said Alavez could be in the company of a light-skinned male who is 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8 with a thin build, no facial hair and acne on his face.

Case agents have worked closely with State Police, the Prosecutor’s Office said earlier this year. Under this initiative, new investigators are reviewing all of the evidence that has been collected since Alavez’s disappearance.
