A 13-year-old Syracuse boy is being charged as an adult in the beating death of his mother.
Joshua Brown is facing second-degree murder charges after his mother, 30-year-old Rebecca Perth, died from injuries police say she suffered in a beating at her home.
Perth died Friday morning.
Police say Brown struck his mother and when she fell to the floor, he stomped with both feet on her head and body. The incident happened Tuesday night after Perth told him to come inside because it was past his curfew.
