Anyone here old enough to remember when "fugitives" used the Personal Columns in newspapers to communicate?

Should we be checking Newsday?

If he is communicating with someone, who could that someone be?
IMOO.

Dont u all think he has another cell phone?

I would have thought that would have been in the LE's "top ten" things to check out....

I am sort of liking this. I am one of those folks who put things down the same place every day and I get all confused if someone moves them. Keys, cell phone and wallet included.

We all can be creatures of habit, and others can know our habit's too......
Maybe IM knew to look there.....and that's why those items were found.
Maybe those items have no meaning, or maybe they do......
Such a Strange case!
IMOO.

So, if RM has another phone, wouldn't LE know about that phone, and they just aren't talking about it?
IMOO.

You can buy an untraceable phone at any gas station, cvs, target...

I suddenly had Rupert Holmes "Escape" (Pina Colada) song pop into my head... :scared:

I wondered about that ---- If there is a "family plan" with the family phones maybe he gave his phone to one of the kids b/c of his work phone. I'd think especially b/c the M's seem conscientious that all the M's are on the same plan. Now of course there is no reason why RM could not have had his own phone unbeknownst to IM.

It could be a distraction........
I was wondering if those items were placed in the garage because they had to be found and all 3 had to be found, to make it look like RM put them there, and with his car at the station, to make it look like he left and kissed his life or lifestyle goodbye.
Nobody is certain that it was him driving his car as he is not seen on video, so could something nefarious have happened to him?
His wallet, phone and the 300 dollars might not mean anything, but collectively, those items put him in the garage, or someone else put those items there for discovery.....
IMOO.
So yea, I am stuck on that garage, because those items belong to him, and that work phone of his was turned off for a reason.....
Regardless, there was a method to someone's madness......
IMOO.

I dont think the $300 has any relevance...maybe it was there a while.
Again, a distraction. Something to keep the sleuthers busy. IMO

IM seems to be in control of that household, IMO. Do you REALLY think he would or could have a "secret" phone on a family plan without her knowledge??
No way.

Thank you! Finally a song to get "Hungry Heart" and "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover" out of my mind.

My biggest problem with all our questions about RM's habits, is that all of that info is known by IM. So none of this should be a mystery if it is useful information. I hope LE has the answers to these questions.

I think it was confirmed that this was the exact amount he received from Arrow Scrap.

So he puts it in a drawer in the garage along with the wallet...and then puts the company cell phone in another drawer (division of property) and other than the video, the trail goes cold until the car shows up at the train station.

Exactly.

Mom-- I was thinking of a seperate phone---bill in his name, paid by him etc.
He could pay the bill in cash or with a pre-paid Visa card or something like that.

Post 555.

Sorry, FAQ may not count as a confirmation. Still learning the ropes around here...

Thing to remember is...it is ALL coming from ONE source.

Nope.
He cod have a toss away no contract pay as u go. No one would know!

so one search warrant for all??? Warrant for garage would extend to whole house????

Yes Hot Cawfee! Unless it is a detached structure the warrant would apply to the garage

Jerry516 and to all here. Do you think he could have gone home right after his phone pinged and turned off his phone?

I would think a "burner" phone for a married man would be a :worms: and would be an indication of at least two activities I can think of...and if your spouse is an attorney...it's skating on very thin ice.

Kind of makes sense as I see it.
