It could be a distraction........
I was wondering if those items were placed in the garage because they had to be found and all 3 had to be found, to make it look like RM put them there, and with his car at the station, to make it look like he left and kissed his life or lifestyle goodbye.
Nobody is certain that it was him driving his car as he is not seen on video, so could something nefarious have happened to him?
His wallet, phone and the 300 dollars might not mean anything, but collectively, those items put him in the garage, or someone else put those items there for discovery.....
IMOO.
So yea, I am stuck on that garage, because those items belong to him, and that work phone of his was turned off for a reason.....
Regardless, there was a method to someone's madness......
IMOO.

I fixate on the garage too--- thinking as regards a search warrant...........or as RM was leaving "their home" or "her home"...kept his things in "his part" of the home.
wow-- 300 dollars is a minimal transaction????

Hey OldSteve, I saw a post by you on the Sierra Lamar thread right now about Italy....was that meant to be posted here in this thread?
IMOO.

If he is communicating with someone, who could that someone be?
IMOO.

I don't necessarily think he is communicating with anyone. I was just suggesting that there are ways other than having a cell phone.

MOO I still think RM left his family even if only temporarily. If you can leave your job, your kids, spouse, and home behind, surely, $300.00 is minor so the money is no issue for me. Phones need to be charged if you are going to continue to use them so the phone seems to have been put away.

There is a serious wall put up for sleuthing. IM doesn't seem to want or need the sleuthing done here or on FB. She certainly knows the answers to most of the questions that have been asked here, if not all. IMO she is either in denial or in collusion regarding her husband's disappearance. MOO, to speculate further, I wouldn't be surprised that LE has determined the same thing and is holding the auto as long as they can in order to be certain that no crime has been or is in the process of being committed. JMO

So I am still thinking horses but entertaining zebras. It is a serious and sad situation so, as my name suggests, I add a little levity to break the tension.

With all the conflicting info floating around, here's one more. How can the NamUs database indicate that the last time he was seen was 2:50pm, when the FB/IM based FAQ strongly indicates that no one was seen on the neighbors sec. camera at that time?

Is the NamUs db incorrect, or is there more info that is not being publicly released? thx j.

I would think a "burner" phone for a married man would be a :worms: and would be an indication of at least two activities I can think of...and if your spouse is an attorney...it's skating on very thin ice.

Personally I think this man was on a very short leash. She WAS an attorney

Dont u all think he has another cell phone?

My ex bought an extra phone that looked just like mine...he was in adultery for 3 years before I caught him. In those 3 years he only made a few mistakes but he knew how I kept facts stored in my head so he was very careful.

As I said before my ex did this exact thing and the phone looked like mine. So yeah I think its very possible he had another burner phone

IIRC the info supplied to NAMUS was from the same source, IM.
With yesterday's updates as proof that IM knew all along about the video and timeline and was just withholding that info for whatever reason.

And to answer your final question....there is MUCH MORE info that is not public.

I know many people who have drawers in the garage.
Their garage is a 3+ car garage which was used for cars and probably for tools and work area. The drawers are not a red flag for me...

What is anyone doing to actually FIND this man? Speculation is all I see.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't expect to be in the position to find him. It is just a curious case for me. I don't live in the area and I don't know where RM would run to if he took off willingly. It begs the questions: Does he have connections anywhere, other than his local area? Did he ever want to visit or retire to a certain local? Did he like the beach/coast or mountain/woods? Did he ever say something like, " I would love to go back to Maine" or "when I retire I would like to move to the southwest."

Think work bench or tool chest. Some modular garage systems have a mix of cabinets, drawers, benches and shelves.

We will never know. Those same questions have been asked time and time again...

Funnneeeeeee!!! My ex charged his extra phone in our garage. That's one of the ways I knew he was cheating I happened to be up at 5:30 when he was leaving to go to work and I saw him checking it for calls. all the while putting his other phone in his pocket!!!!

My very wise father, may he rest in peace, had a saying...
"In the end, every thief gets caught"
Whether its a cheater, a liar, a scammer or a murderer....they all get caught eventually.

Thanks! Yes, here's the Question - was the trip to Italy going to be by plane or ship?

  • #718
Jerry516 and to all here. Do you think he could have gone home right after his phone pinged and turned off his phone?

I think he put the phone in airplane mode on the northern state at the rt 110 exit and then turned the phone off completely wen he was in the garage.

IMO

Even when the phone is switched off it pings. the only way to prevent pinging is to remove the battery.

And you can't remove an iPhone battery, correct?
