If LE isn't treating it as criminal, IMO nor should we.

Maybe that's what he did between last ping and arrival at Arrow... Pulled over somewhere, composed the letters. Then went to Arrow, drove home knowing IM was usually at parents house before school was out. In and out of the house quickly to drop letters, $ , phone. After that I'm tossed, but IMO met up with someone that was in on the whole thing at DP station, jumped out of his car, locked it out of habit and left for a new start. I think the bike is not a part of this story.

Clarifying based on past posts; You are referring to Edgewood, correct?

Yes, I heard there were manholes without covers there, but I don't know first hand. I imagine the missing manhole covers were sold for scrap by addicts, so it rings true.

With respect, like the preserve, the bike is an unknown factor that needs ruled in or out by careful investigation. Any number of things could be associated with the bike. He loaned it to a friend (and one would wonder why they did not bring it back or report that they had it), sold it to someone (and that leads to other questions) or did end up going for a ride (and there are a number of possible scenario's attached to that).

Another WS member who has first hand knowledge of that specific type car interior and trunk has noted a bike would not fit.

Did the person try to fit it without the wheels on?

I have fit 2 bikes, wheels off, in the back seat of a car much smaller than a GTO.

We don't know if the wheels on his bike came off but on the 2 mountain bikes that we've owned, they came off without tools in seconds.

Good point. I have a recumbent so I tend to think that only the front tire comes off with anything other than hand to hand combat.

Just when a scenario is coming together in my mind, someone brings up a good point and I am back to square one! :banghead:

Its coming on three months--and I like you wish LE would announce something-

The job RM is on is big and I'd think there would be a maintenance agreement that would go along with it---nice "get" for the contractor. I wonder if this is his first time as foreman, first big job. I also wondered if he was performing up to what the contractor expected.
Not saying RM was bad at his job---just yet another thing I am wondering about. And I wnder also if he has been replaced
.

Interesting questions. Issues like this could eat at someone, especially if other areas in their lives have stresses too. JMO

The thing that upsets me is some posters sign on with the sole intention of defending the victims family. There is nothing to defend. We are here to brainstorm, put the pieces of a puzzle together. Make sense of crumbs and facts we are given. We throw a million ideas and theories out there not to insult or judge, but to somehow make sense of a highly unusual situation. This is a sleuthing website, what does one expect? It's like visiting a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 site and getting offended by the nudity. This website is free to post and free to view, if it troubles people, they shouldn't view it.

We didn't create past actions or behaviors of victims or the families, they did. And to ignore ramifications of how these past and even current actions of the people closest to the victim may have contributed to the puzzle would be doing an injustice.
This forum has rules of being victim friendly, and I think everyone is doing their best to stick to them. And although victim friendly, I don't think the intentions of this site are for "support and prayers". As much as everyone on here wants a happy ending...... Sometimes things need to be addressed that may make some feel uncomfortable, but they are necessary in order to develop scenarios. It's unavoidable if the truth shall prevail.....even though we try our best to stay within TOS....which I think for the most part we do pretty well.

The prayers and free manhunt don't trouble me as much as the FUNDRAISING. the idea leaves such a bad taste in my mouth, IMO.

If a person thinks RM was NOT suicidal, would NOT be cheating on wife, etc...what is their opinion as to what has happened here? Where did he go, is he alive?

As far as the garage drawers...I am guessing they were used by RM in the past, since they were searched eventually. I have lived in current house 13 years and looked in garage yesterday and saw some drawers, lol...like for tools I guess. Never saw them before and would certainly not have looked in them, even if I had, if my husband went missing, unless he had used them in the past.

Brilliant thinking! Although, I wonder if a tool was found in the vehicle to put it back together? Yet, a multi-tool would probably work, which he could have worn on his belt, so it was with him . . or. some bikes have a small tool bag attached to the frame too . .

Who really knows if he went for a bike ride anyway? IMO I think a person married who's expected home a certain time would call the significant other and say " honey I'm going for a bike ride when I get home" I'll be home around 4pm

I think I read that RM only rode occasionally. I'm not 100%
I have friends that ride religiously and meet in certain places to ride. They are always working on their bikes and making sure they are well tuned and everything is right. I don't know, I would think IM would see him outside or in the garage playing around with that bike, IMO
OR the bike could have been missing for months
Does anyone know if he rode during the summer?
Someone knows. Does he ride alone in a dangerous area like that preserve that others are saying have open manholes there, O jeez, I would hope not.

So many scenarios omg I agree...

It bothers me, because we don't have a clue what caused his disappearance. Seems premature. If it was earmarked for a reward, psychic, or PI, it would sit better with me. Just my opinion . .

I agree, but all our theories have holes. What if he was going for a bike ride to work off some steam? So, he didn't bother to call her. Besides, I would have taken my phone, if I was going for a ride in that preserve. It is a measure of safety having a way to call for help. Yet, he's a big guy, so maybe he wasn't concerned.

One of the mods mentioned a verified poster made a post last week about the parking lot, I think. She said because of the wording, it is only available for mods to see. Can you give us the gist of it?

Curious,
She was talking about the "parking lot" (i call basement) that was set up for
A very short time. A private room for registered users only where an insider answered some questions.

Didn't see this post before answering . . Wasn't his bike older? It could have been 10, 15 or 20 years old. This is what I recall. Maybe that feature wasn't on his bike (wheel nut being easy to turn without tools)?

Either way, it was probably doable--modern wheel nut or not.

I don't think it is the train station's parking lot they were referring to . . The "parking lot" could have been the private forum. They call forums like that "parking lot" or the "basement."
The verified insider posted a few posts there, but the "parking lot" was closed off to everyone, but the mods. They are the only people that can see the posts there.

I think I have this right . . .
