Police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing 46-year-old man from Syracuse who was last seen in the town of Otisco.

New York state police said today they are trying to locate Robert J. Thornton, who was last seen July 11 at a residence on Fitzgerald Point Road in Otisco. Police said they were called regarding the man's disappearance Saturday.

He is described as 6 feet tall, weighing about 180 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Thornton was last known to be living in Syracuse, but his family lives in Otisco.
