Robin A. Leys, 61, was last seen Friday morning. Leys may have Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or related cognitive diseases. She was last seen traveling on foot on Transit Road in West Seneca. Leys was wearing sunglasses, a red smock, blue jeans, and black shoes.

Police gave the following description:

• Height: 5'2"
• Weight: 120 pounds
• Hair Color: Grey
• Eye Color: Green

Family desperately searching for missing Lancaster woman

Lancaster police say there was a reported sighting of Leys Monday in the Southgate Plaza in West Seneca. However, she was still missing as of Tuesday.

"I'm worried that she's just hiding in someone's shed. I'm not really sure what could be going on," said Robin's daughter Kelly.

The family has formed its own search party. On Tuesday, her sister was assigned to Transit Rd., not far from Robin's last known location.

This isn't the first time Leys has gone missing, her family says. But it's the first time she's been gone this long. That's why they are worried.

They received a tip Leys was seen at the Botanical Gardens Tuesday.

They also believe she may be using the cash she had to take buses around the area.
